Let's Go Shopping

I had to run to the store for a few things today, and everytime I have company from out of town, they are always fascinated with this store. I had my camera, so I thought I would take a few pics.

I love these pretty yellow plates. I think I have to buy some of them. They have beautiful flowers embossed on them. (Remember to click and see larger detail.)

Here's another yellow choice. I can see a really fun tablescape with these.

Love the colors of these. Can't you just see a summer or garden tablescape.

Maybe these for an outdoor BBQ.

Have you guessed where we are yet? We're at my local grocery store. No wonder I have a hard time trying to remember to buy food. lol It's a store called Fry's Marketplace. They really do have food, but they have so many wonderful things that you can spend hours just browsing. Sort of like a Walmart, but nicer and more upscale. However the prices are just about the same, and the food is actually cheaper.

How about some basics.

More basics.

Love the yellow.

Beautiful seafoam green. Can you see the little chef plates. I had to buy the square salad plates.

Love the plates with the grapes, and the gorgeous raspberry dishes.

Gorgeous blue and white and look at the vibrant dark blue. Aren't they great.

How about Southwestern Design.

These plates could go with a lot of various styles.

Sorry this is so blurry, I just love the colorful little pig platter on the bottom shelf.

Contemporary.

Tropical.

Do you need a new pan?

Clocks - Candles

How about some new linens?

Furniture.

Accessories.

More accessories.

Lamps or Picture Frames.

The pictures below show it really is a grocery store, but that's the normal dull part of it.

Hope you enjoyed shopping with me. It really is a fun store.

If we're ever in your area again, I'll be sure to let you know so we can hit the Marketplace, have lunch there and shop to our heart's and pockets' content! Great post! Like I said, lucky duck!

  22. That is a truly awesome store! On the one hand, I wish we had one where I live. On the other hand, it's probably good we don't because I'd probably be in there for TWO DAYS every time I had to do my grocery shopping!

  23. Well, Marty, I pride myself on have a tiny bit of restraint, but in a store like that..I am afraid it would all just go out the window!
Wow...that is a great store. Sometimes I am glad these stores are FAR away from me. So far I haven't found a Home Goods store...and several of the others I see some of the bloggers frequent!
Should I be grateful? OR should I be upset...I think the latter is probably what happens...UPSET! :)
    Thanks for sharing!

I can't imagine how you could just zip in to buy milk or bread. This would get me into way too much trouble. How very lucky you are. I think this is a much more version of a store we have here....Fred Meyer....or, Freddies as it's known about town.

I hope you're having a wonderful Memorial Day....I just realized you aren't on my blogroll......boy, am I sorry. I'm fixing that ASAP!

  50. Marty, alas... DH didn't buy into the begging... ;-)

He told me to wait until we find my fall ones in the storage (we started the cleaning out phase today) as those are embossed.

I am on dish hunting freeze except for the patio dinnerware as he wants a tropical set for that. He wanted the one I showed him in Pier 1. Oh, well... ;-)

Though, if those embossed yellow ones go on sale for 50% or more, I'm leaning towards the salad plates next to the mugs and soup bowls. I'd love to grab six of those! So keep an eye on those going on sale and remember, shhh... LOL

    Hugs, Chandy!
