Met. Monday - Dining Room Table Changes

Thanks to the amazing Susan @ Between Naps On The Porch we are all in for a treat with another Metamorphosis Monday. Be sure to visit her and see what she and all of blogland have been up to.

This is how the Dining Table looked before Christmas.

This was the table for Christmas.

With Christmas packed away, I was really ready for something a little lighter and brighter. So out came the bucket of flowers and a few changes took place.

I have been in the mood for a little more yellow, which seems to be going around blogland a lot. Must be the dreary cooler weather. lol

On a recent trip to Home Goods I found this wonderful artichoke planter in their clearance section for $7. Now you know I just had to have it. I love the white for a change since the previous planter was a tin bucket that I spray painted Ant. Bronze.

Mostly yellow with a few white flowers and the arrangement is much lighter and brighter. I think it looks so much cheerier.

This ties the floral arrangement together with the white in the painting and the white plates on the wall. Love it.

I also want to remind you of two really fun parties that will be coming up. A Valentine's Party on Feb. 12th hosted by Laurie @ Bargain Hunting and Chatting with Laurie.

Then on Feb. 19th we will have another fun "Cloch Party".

Be sure to grab both buttons and place them on your blog so all your friends will be able to join these two fun parties. You can click on the buttons on my sidebar for all the details.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I always appreciate and look forward to your visits.

  1. Marty your new table look is wonderful! I finally got my Christmas down but everything looks so drab. I want to start stripping the paper off the Dining room walls soon and so haven't put a lot of effort to decorating besides a few candlesticks. The light looks wonderful in that room of yours! I am hoping by taking the dark blue paper down that things might lighten up a bit.

  6. Very Pretty - really like the colors you used. What are the temps like in Phoenix now? When I lived there many moons ago I loved the mild Winters, but the Summers were a little tough.

  19. Hi Marty. Your table setting looks bright and cheery. And I love your new artichoke vase. It all goes so well together. But what really impresses me the most is your flower arranging. All of your arrangements look like you bought them from a professional. Maybe you could post a tutorial?? Looking forward to the cloche party. Rosie

  20. GM Marty, I agree about the yellow, with all our dreary weather it does bring some sunshine in the house. It looks great, you are always on the move with your home and I admire that in you, always keeping it fresh. I went out and bought yellow roses and yellow mums to put in vases around my house, they make me smile. xo Kathysue

  24. I am so jealous you have your Christmas put away and have your table so beautifully set for spring. It is so pretty. I just saw that artichoke vase at HG, but picked another artichoke instead for my friend because I don't know how to do floral arrangements. Do you do all your own. They are so well done.
Thanks for visiting me and I am going to join your cloche party in Febuary
