Halloween Fun

I don't do a lot for Halloween, in fact this one little Jack-O-Lantern is my only real Halloween decoration that I have.  I like him because he's a Happy little guy. This is a tablescape that I did last year.  I am repeating it for the following parties

Favorite Things Sat. @ Bargain Hunting and Chatting With Laurie
Seasonal Sundays @ The Tablescaper
Sunday Favorites @ Happy To Design
Be sure to visit all of these ladies to see a list of all the participants.  Fun filled parties filled with tons of inspiration.

Just a fun tablescape for Halloween.

A happy Jack-O-Latern, all aglow.

I placed the pumpkin on a cake stand in a bed of faux leaves and surrounded by a variety of pumpkins and corn from the Dollar Tree.

Black tablecloth and orange napkins and candles for a real Halloween color scheme.

The candles give such a pretty glow in the evening.

I've used the little leaf bowls from Walmart to hold the candles.

The black stemmed wine glass and the clear goblet both came from the Dollar Tree.

Each placesetting is set with my everyday flatware, orange napkins from GW and wood napkin rings from Pier One.

The leaf plates came from Marshalls on sales for $1 each.

The black and white plates are also from Marshalls for $1 ea and the white plate is the famous Gibson dishes from Big Lots all sitting on a rattan placemat.

This is the happiest pumpkin, he just loves to be all lit up.

A view of the table all set for some ghosts and goblins to join the table.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I always appreciate your visits and hope you come back soon.

Hugs, Marty

  15. Oh Marty! It looks so adorable!! I am not much in to Halloween decor either...more autumn decor. But since the granddaughters have come along in my life, my eyes turn towards the Halloween stuff again in the stores. I have to say that I do love the whimsy and now that I have little ones in my life again, I didn't realize how much I missed the whimsy. I believe I might just have to have whimsy back in my home for the rest of my life; for good!!! :D

  39. I had to smile Marty when I saw that pumpkin...I have the same one that I picked up at a yard sale this year. I made a vignette with him in my back entrance hallway. Loving what you did with yours on the table. Just gorgeous tablescape.

  40. A perfect combination of Fall and Halloween, Marty! I don't have much coming out decor-wise for Halloween. Just a few things I had picked up in recent years {or made last year}. I like to mix them in where I can with any Fall decor I already have out.

  41. I love your tablescape. I like that you added just a touch of Halloweeen along with fall.

  42. Who would have thought a jack-o-lantern could look so elegant? You've done it again. I decorate for the grandkids at Halloween but don't like to go "overboard" with it as some folks seem to do!

  43. He is a happy little guy and that is a fun table scape. I love the way you paired the black and white china with the orange. Perfect for the season.

  44. That truly is a very happy looking pumpkin. Your table is beautiful. I think the black tablecloth really sets off the plates well. Using black and white plates picks up the tablecloth and then the white is picked up again in the leaf plate on top. Very clever. Top marks to you.
