A Stroll Thru the Garden

Living in the desert we can't grow a lot  of things, however it isn't all cactus either.  I am working in the yard today mowing, pruning and cleaning up.  I couldn't resist a few pics of some of the flowers.

The petunia's will be gone soon, so I am starting to replace with some Vinca.  It takes the heat really well.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I am off to finish the yard and plant my new Vinca.  Hope you have a super weekend.

  1. Marty, thank you for sharing the pictures of your lovely garden. I so need a garden fix. Here in Bellevue, WA, we are having our first day of 70 degree weather in 199 days. sigh.

  2. Marty, your flowers are gorgeous!

Here you are finishing up your season of petunias, and we're just starting. We even had a monster hail/rain storm at 3am last night. I woke up to snow in my flower beds and leaves everywhere. I am in serious need of warm weather! haha

    Have a great weekend!

  4. Your flowers are so beautiful and healthy looking! I love the colors you have chosen. If you takeout the petunias, will you replant them for next year? Isn't Vinca a perennial?

We haven't had enough sun yet here in Oregon to see anything but tulips, and they are gone now.
    Happy Gardening!

  8. I worked in the garden all day, too!

I used to have that same red hibiscus. I had it for about 5 years and then it finally died. Seeing yours makes me want to get another one. Such beautiful flowers!

  12. Marty, your flowers are so pretty and I'm jealous. A lot of my plants are struggling because we haven't had rain in a month. I bought Gazanias for the first time and I'm really dissapointed in their performance.Have you ever tried them? The tag said for hot and dry conditions.
