How to go back to the Old Interface

There are a lot of you not very happy with the "updated Blogger interface" and really want to go back to the old, however that is seems hard to do.

Not really, on the new interface in the upper right hand corner you will see a box with "English" or whatever language you use in it.  Next to it you will see a symbol that looks like a gear.  Click on the gear and a menu will pop down.  You will see "Old Blogger Interface".  Just click on that and you are back to the old.

Hope this helps.  I have read how frustrated many of you are with the new.

Hugs, Marty

  1. That is nice you have figured it out! I remember when the new ones came out, I decided to stay with the old (still with the old) and then heard how much folks hated it. Glad it can be fixed! Kit

  2. Marty - I spent about an hour last night figuring it out. I clicked on everything I could and finally Googled it. LOL I HATED that old interface. You're such a sweetie for posting this for others, I just assumed others were smarted than me and knew how to do it. :) Hugs, Barb

  4. I didn't change permanently. I tried it because they kept bugging me about it, but I didn't like it.

I guess I'm just a fuddy duddy but I kind of think a lot of stuff in blog land and other cyber spaces needs to remember the old, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." adage.

    Thanks for this info!

  6. I just did this this morning. I hate the new interface. Who comes up with these things. I could never find and edit button and it was so much harder to navigate.

  7. Thanks, Marti! Tete (Beyondthegardengate) emailed me how to do this earlier. Bloggers are the best in the world. You have a lot of readers so I think this will help a lot of people. xo Diana

  8. I was so thankful when you told me about that a while back. I did not like the new one at all - not user friendly. Thanks again.
    Have a great weekend.

  9. I tried the new for a while and switched back. I wonder if we will eventually have to use the new though? I hope not. I don't like change much.

  10. I have no idea whether mine is the new or old. But, I am thinking it must be the new?

  12. I tried the new one for a little bit and then switched back. I don't like to change once I have figured out where everything is. It's good you figured out how to go back for eveyone.

  16. Thanks Marty, I do not like when they change things, just when I'm really learning how to use them. New bloggers and people new to computers have an awful time because they do this. Also facebook has a new "Timeline" and I don't like it either! I wish you could come over and help me figure out how to do a few other things!
    Be blessed!
