114th Table Top Tuesday

Welcome to the 114th Table Top Tuesday.  I am taking my post outside today to the front porch.  The weather has been super hot, but finally we had a couple of days that cooled off again, so I decided to sit in the shade on the front porch and have a glass of wine and relax.  Such a great way to spend an hour or so and just enjoy the nice weather.

Some simple cheese and crackers with my glass of wine.

You can also see the new basket display I made for the front door.  My wreath finally fell apart, so time to replace it.

I try to keep the entry really simple and plain since it isn't very big.  Just a couple of potted plants.

The house is painted a soft beige and the door is a chocolate brown.

I didn't want to buy anything new, so I looked through my stash and found a  "dipper" shaped basket.  Some ivy, a few tulips and a couple of Calla lilies and I called it done.  I added one sprig of tall grass next to the handle of the basket.  Very simple and understated.  Fits my house perfectly.

If you were here I would pour you a glass of wine and we could rock and chat for hours.

I am joining Alison at The Polo House for Favorites on the First.  This month she is featuring front doors.  Be sure to visit and you will definitely be inspired to spruce up your area.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I always look forward to your visits.

We just walked into the house after a trip to see one of J's doctors in St Louis (good news this time). On the way down and back I wondered if I would be here in time to link up.LOL It is about a 100 mile round trip and of course, you know I have to do some meandering!

    Thanks for hosting!

  8. Your door looks lovely, Marty. We are having a humid day here today and are supposed to get a thunderstorm. I'm hoping not, but it looks like the sun is going in. I was hoping to sit outside and read my book but I guess I can do it inside as well ~ with the AC on!

  13. It must be nice to have some warm weather to be able to sit outside. It's been rather cold and rainy here after the warm start we had in March. Oh - and what a luxury to be able to sit and have a glass of wine. Enjoy your sweet weather, wine, and lovely porch.

  25. Well, if I were there I would drink a glass of wine with you and munch some cheese and crackers! Doesn't that sound nice?? Does to me. I would say "so what's the latest gossip, Marty!" and you would say.."Mona, PLEASE, I do NOT gossip!" and we would drink our wine. Another glass ...and I would say.."what's the latest gossip, Marty..?" and you would say.."well, the other day I was at the store and ran into.." :):)

Your front door looks stunning! Very Marty!!

Hope you get to spend some time out there. Still too cold here for porch sitting, and we have to wait for the pollen invasion to set up, or everything will be green!
