Glass - Crystal - and Food

I keep finding such fun glass and crystal pieces, so I just keep adding to my vignette.  I love using the crystal and silver in the kitchen.  Love the sparkle and shine, plus it just dresses up the most mundane things.

A while back I showed you this fabulous lead crystal decanter that I found - - -

and this fabulous silver and crystal cloche- - -

and recently I found this pasta jar for $1 at GW.  Love the cut wheat design and the top says Pasta.

Fill them all with food and they make such a great display.

I found this little flat-backed bottle last year and filled it with split peas.  Great green color.

Spaghetti in the pasta jar and nestled in the frenchy bottle carrier.

This beautiful lead-crystal biscuit jar was a gift many, many, many years ago.

I put a few wine corks in it.

The decanter is filled with pasta noodles and the cloche has a faux cupcake.

Isn't it pretty all grouped together.  Such a fun way to use some of your crystal and silver.

I am joining the following parties:

So instead of putting all that crystal and silver away, get it out, fill it with some kind of food and play.  You will have so much fun.  Do you have some pieces hidden away somewhere?

  2. It is definitely all beautiful together, Marty! I like the sparkle it gives off myself ~ it would make a bright spot here on those cloudy days. I am in love with that silver and glass cloche ~ what a great find that was! Love the idea of using the decanter to hold pasta, too. That would even make a pantry look good!
