Fall On The Porch

My porch is not very big, but I love to have a small seating area and a little seasonal decor.  I swapped out the pillows with some fall colored ones that I had on the patio and added my favorite jack-o-lantern.

This is always a shady spot and when the weather cools, a great place to sit and have a glass of tea.

I live in a typical subdivision, so you can see the teenagers cars across the street in the refelction in the window.  Nice boys, and always super polite.

A quick change of fall colored flowers in the basket and a large burlap bow.

Not much, but just a little to celebrate the season.

Do you go all out on the porch, or are you more of a minimalist?

  2. Your porch looks so pretty! We won't have a PORCH and I will miss that cause I LOVED decorating this porch for the Seasons. NextSpring Joe will build a deck and we will have a patio installed so I am looking forward to that!!!! Happy Fall, Marty! XO, Pinky

  3. I love the space you have on your porch, Marty! I have a small overhang in front of our condo ~ enough for one of those small round tables and two chairs, but I'd love to have just a little bit more room. Next year we may expand out into the front bed with some stone work. I think you've dressed your space for Fall wonderfully. Just enough to enjoy it!

  23. My front porch is smaller than yours. I would love to be able to have a couple of rockers out there, but I only have a chair used for decoration. We do any sitting out back on the deck or patio. I've always dreamed of having a house with a huge wrap-around porch, but none of our houses have had one.

I'm finally trying to kick it into gear. I did do some fall decorating and took some pictures...there is hope for me yet. Now, I just have to post them!

  26. Your porch looks like such a lovely place to sit! I love rocking chairs on a porch. Funny, I don't have a single rocking chair in my house right now--that's sad, isn't it? I'm sure that will change some day when I have grandchildren, or at least I hope so.

I don't go all out on the porch for every season, but I do like to add little touches for fall, spring, and Christmastime.

Thanks so much for joining Grace at Home!
