I havn't even gotten all the boxes down from the attic yet, so not much going on here in the way of Christmas decor. Today I found some goodies at GW so that got me started with a couple of displays.
First up is the DR table. Just a small vignette, one that I can add on to when all the boxes come down. See that wonderful gold and copper tensil tree, that fabulous gem came from GW for $3.99 and 25% off for Senior Day. I was definitely doing a happy dance. Such a fun piece and just the right size to use in a lot of different places.
OK, the boxes came down and I tweaked a little bit more. I changed out the candlesticks for the hurricanes and added a great little santa. Much better.

I found a great wreath for the door also. GW wreath was $3.99 and a sack of 3 Cranberry balls for $2.99. I hooked two of them together to hang on the wreath. Perfect for the door.
Now to get all those boxes and bins down and really get started.

ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Marty! I'm calling my decorating done for this year. I love the vignette on your dining table. I need to add something to our table, but I hate having to move things off it when we are eating there. I'll have to think of something simple and quick to move.
ReplyDeleteMarty I would be doing the happy dance too!!
ReplyDeleteCute tree and reindeer....

ReplyDeleteMarty, you're the best example of using of what you have and then adding a few inexpensive things to come up with beautiful arrangements! It's so much fun to see what you create--your house always looks lovely and welcoming. :)
ReplyDeleteYou found some great things. It is amazing all the Christmas stuff at Goodwill, isn't it? Love your cranberry balls added to the wreath. It looks so pretty. I dragged the last bin full of stuff up and we are decorated - except for a couple of strings of ligths I need to pick up- xo Diana

ReplyDeleteI haven't even taken my Christmas decorations out of the boxes. I think I am going with live greens and very minimal decor this year! Your golds and coppers have to be my favorite colors for Christmas. I do love the traditional green and red, but those metalic colors are so so rich!!!!
