Christmas in the Kitchen

I love to change all the decor in my kitchen and so I just had to play for Christmas.  So much fun.
Let's start with the island.

I was totally thrilled when I found Mrs. Clause and the little Mouse at Goodwill.  She runs by a battery and shakes her head and moves her candle all around.  Perfect for the island.  (I thought I would add my huge Santa to this mix, but he is a maroon red and really looked bad next to them, so the ladies are handling the show all by themselves. )

Since food is my theme, I placed a faux cupcake on my antique scale.  I love the little Mouse and her sweet little apron and bonnet have lots of stockings, packages and candy canes on them.

Love her cute little tail with the bow too.

I put my topiary in the back and tied a simple red ribbon to it.

On the back counter, my little angel keeps watch over the kitchen in my favorite rooster cloche.

This side of the back counter is where I always play the most.  Big enough space to really have fun.

This corner is where my Christmas Santa Chef rides in on his sleigh.

A brass candy scale filled with faux donuts and a bundle of wheat.

Santa Chef is a Goodwill find from last year.  Isn't he just the cutest ever!!

He's surrounded by all kinds of fruit, flowers, pinecones and pulled by some sassy roos.

My cake cloche holds more faux fruit, grapes and cheese.

I put a piece of red check ribbon on my little Italian waiter, so he tied in with the red check on my Santa Chef.

DH even found this really cute little chef towel, love his smile and it even has black and white checks like my table napkins.  How adorable is he!!!

Fun and whimsical.  It makes me smile every time I see it.

Since this is open to the Family and Breakfast area (you can see that post here) I think we definitely have enough red.

How about you, are you done or are you still decorating too?

  4. Very Christmas-y, Marty! I'm done! I just added a couple of things to my kitchen the other day because I felt it was the one room seriously lacking in decorations. I still kept it simple though ~ I don't need glitter falling into the sauce I'm making!
