Silver and Etched Crystal

You all know that I love anything silver and if it has some beautiful etched glass with it, then I just can't seem to pass it up.

I was wandering through Michaels again the other day, looking for inspiration for some spring flowers and of course I had to walk through the clearance section.  There sat this one fabulous silver and crystal apothecary jar.  I loved the beautiful etched crest and it says Fianna underneath.  I had no idea what that meant, so I googled it and found out it is Warriors of Ireland.  So I am assuming this is their crest.

I immediately put it on the buffet in the dining area.  I love the light shining through it.

Then I thought maybe some corks would look good since it is next to a tray of crystal decanters.

Only problem is, you can't see the pretty etching.

So maybe nothing is better.  I like the sparkle of all the crystal by itself.

I love my new treasure and best of all it was marked down to $17.99.  Have you found any treasures lately?

  6. Oh that is AWESOME I loooooove that, Marty!!

I wonder if you'd be able to see the etched crest with plain solid white bird feathers in it?

It'd also be awesome in a bath with white epsom salts or cotton balls - a few new ideas, anyway.

You really SCORED with that, I absolutely covet it big time.

  9. Very pretty find, Marty! All the pretty stuff is usually gone by the time I get to the clearance aisles at Hobby Lobby or Michael's. I did manage to pick up a cute bunny from the 80% off Easter stuff though.

  18. You have such beautiful home Marty, full of love and treasures. Apothecary jars are not very common here in OZ,I only learned about them from bloggers. I think we call them vanity jars.
That's a great find you have there.

    Blessings,
