Silver-Cream and a Copy Cat

I have run out of ideas, but you guys never do, so I had to try and do a little copy cat decor.

I am always so inspired by how fabulous your different styles are.  MT-Tails shared her dining room and I love everything about it.  Stunning.

I especially love her table centerpiece.  I keep seeing all of your guys create a long rectangular design down the center of the table.  I love this and I love all the different elements you incorporate into these designs.

So I had to try and do a copy cat of sorts and create a centerpiece down the center of my  table.

The crackle finish on the swan is one of my favorite finishes, gives it some age.

Ivy in a silver julip cup standing on the pedestal adds a little softness and the mercury pumpkin adds more sparkle.  For some added interest, I've used my silver wine holder too.

She used a candelabra, so of course I incorporated mine too.

How about you, do you like to change and rearrange your table centerpiece too?  I think I like this rectangle design for a change. By adding different elements, it's more interesting than just flowers and candles.

  10. Very pretty, Marty! I find I get lots of inspiration from other bloggers {and Pinterest now, too}. I think we all wind up with something original because we use what we've got and what works in our home, like you did here.

  14. Your centerpiece looks beautiful, Marty. I think you have a high acumen for decorating. And so what if you "copy cat" - the beauty is meant to be shared, and I'm sure your fellow bloggers consider it a compliment when you like their look so much that you incorporate it into your own home!
    Blessings, Beth

  26. Love that swan! I have a rabbit that has that finish on it and it is one of my favorites. I know what you mean about running out of ideas, especially after several holidays in a row. However, something someone usually inspires me - many times, it is you!!

  28. Marty,
    Amazing centerpiece arrangement, dear friend!!!
    However, many, m a n y times...I "copy~cat" your vignettes...
or at least I attempt to here on the Prairie!!!
I've been wanting to bring the rectangular dining table back upstairs.
I find the rectangle less challenging than the small round dining table
we use everyday. We'll see, as our space is so limited in the dining area.
Thanks for sharing and have a marvelous week ahead!!!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  31. Great copycat look! I'm always looking for inspiration from you and others in Blogland. It's so much fun copying and making it your own. I have to tell you I saw a beautiful swan at GW the other day and thought of you. I would have bought it but it was really large, and I had no place to put it. I'll just admire yours. :)
