Antique Wood & Brass Binoculars

Well, not really antique, but they are made to look old and antique.  I had a few credits from Josh & Main so I did a little shopping.  One of my treasures arrived the other day.

 Wood and brass binoculars.

Aren't they fun, look at that wood.

They're on a really tall tripod.  This is as low as it goes, so it will go up to a little over 3 1/2 ft.  Next I had to find a place to put it, so my desk won out.

I added a plant to help ground it.

Is this cute or what, and no they don't really work and if the shade is open I'm not spying on the neighbors. lol  I'm really not. lol

Just a fun accessory.  I like how unusual it is.  I have one more treasure that has finally been shipped.  I will show you when it gets here.  I think it will fiish this vignette.

So what really different new treasure have you come up with lately?

  1. I like those Marty. They look great with how you've set them up. No new treasures here, just rummaging through my fall and halloween goods!

  4. I love it, Marty! How unusual. Yesterday I picked up two wonderful old paintings. My intent was to do a blackboard project for Social Spark. But don't know if I can cover up the paintings now that I've looked at them so much! May have to have a Plan 2.

  5. Those are great looking, Marty. They did a good job of making them look antique. You might have to put a sign in the window, stating that they are for decorative purposes only, so your neighbors won't think they're being watched! Good idea to ground them with a plant. laurie

  8. Great look for the desk - love the "real" antique-ness of the binoculars. Hmmm, putting them on a tripod? I may be able to do that.
