My Thanksgiving Table

I love to host Thanksgiving, it is always so fun to set the table and I love the smells that fill the house with all the good things cooking in the kitchen.

I didn't do a lot to the centerpiece I already had on the dining table, I just added a couple of things and did a little tweaking.  It's a mixture of rustic and elegant.

There will be 10 of us.  I will serve buffet style,  plates will be on the buffet counter.  Water will go in the silver goblets and wine in the crystal glasses. (yes, I am still polishing the silverware. lol)

I had a small group for lunch, so I set this table in the breakfast area earlier this week.  I loved making the centerpiece a little french country scene.

 Baking will begin today - - - -

  5. Thanksgiving is my free holiday - no dishes required as we visit my husband's family, but that means no leftovers. :( Beautiful bounty, Marty, enjoy your day with family.

The farm set-up is a darling as well, but most of all, I love the menu your planning and oh my, the gorceries laid out!!!! hahaha! mine looks a bit similar but not as much since I'm only cooking for 8 people, 3 of them children! Have a happy thanksgiving dear! Truly we have a lot of things to be thankful for! CHEERS!

  16. Not likely, Marty.? Worst! As I have a very tiny kitchen so even just a few things on the countertop. It's a mess. Love both centerpieces.

  32. What a beautiful table! I love how the gingham cloth is the perfect backdrop for the variety of elements. Rustic and elegant is always a wonderful combination. I love that you took that picture of your kitchen after your shopping trip. I wish I had thought of that. All the dishes are washed and back in their place now. I am exhausted. It is fun to visit your table and do nothing.

  34. Both tables are just lovely, Marty! I had to laugh at the kitchen scene. Mine looks like that no matter if I'm preparing a big meal or just baking something -- I'm a messy cook and use lots of stuff! At the same time, I don't like a messy kitchen (or any where for that matter), so it gets cleaned up pretty quickly!
