Living Room - Little by Little

Well, I am itching to change a ton of things in the living room this year, but for now just some really deep cleaning and creating a few new vignettes.

I started with the coffee table, it seems to be the center of attention, so it is always fun to play with.

I am still mixing metals with my silver and gold.

Adding a couple of marble orbs always adds interest.

These are my favorite hurricanes, love these.

I am using my silver after Christmas tray that I bought from "Tar-Jay".  $14.24.  Such a great find and  price.

A beige and silver scarf adds a little softness to the table.

Done and a fun change for now.

  1. I am super, super jealous of that tray! I love mixing metals, too. And that Paris bottle is awesome. I agree on the coffee table being the first to be redecorated. It's always where I start too and sees the most frequent changes. Have a great weekend & Happy New Year!

  3. Beautiful! I love the combination in the hurricane vases. To me the coffee beans feel masculine and the branches feel feminine.

  4. It all looks lovely. Our oldest granddaughter is crazy about Paris. We gifted here with a theme of Paris gifts this Christmas including a big Eiffel Tower statue. She would love that bottle. Thank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop xo

  14. Very pretty Marty. I am planning on painting a floor clock, the guest bedroom furniture and possible the entry table. We have moved some furniture around too.

  15. We're just now starting to take down the Christmas decorations, so no new projects, yet. I love your hurricanes, too, and that gorgeous silver tray. Nice coffee table vignette. Are those coffee beans in your hurricanes?

  16. Tar-jay. Love it! =) I'm switching things up too. Once the holidays are over I like to move things around and shop the house. One of my resolutions - which I seem to make every year - is to stop buying stuff we don't need. So I'll be shopping my house for quite a while!

  18. I also love silver these days....used to be a time when I didn't want any hint of metal or glass in my décor, go figure! And that Paris bottle, what a great combo of sophistication (mercury glass) and rustic luxe (burlap and aluminum)! Where did you get it?

  19. I love that mercury glass Paris bottle, Marty! I started in my living room, too, once I got the decorations put away. A couple of new vignettes on the tables and I've decided to change up my lamps' shades. I'm hoping to get to them over the next couple of days. I'm also hoping to start organizing and purging a little bit. With the snow we are getting {and forecast to get} I should have plenty of inside time to get to it!

  21. Love that mercury glass and burlap (?) jug! I haven't put my Christmas away yet - we usually like to keep it up until epiphany. But, like you, it's always fun to begin the new year with a fresh start - and what's better than a beautiful vignette?

It's going to be minus 30 to minus 50 with the windchill next week.
Record breaking and scary too. I need to get to Phoenix.
