Today I am so thrilled to have Ursula from Home Made by Carmona. This lady is not only cute as a button, but also one of the most clever DIY gals you will ever meet.
You know that I got involved in creating a new office space a while back and painted everything in sight gold. Well, look what Ursula did. Of course she was part of my inspiration. I love her office space and all the fabulous DIY projects she did to make it such a special place.
Hello lovely readers of A Stroll Thru Life! I'm Ursula from Home Made by Carmona, and I am so honored to be here sharing today. Marty has impeccable taste and keeps me inspired...but who am I telling? You already know that! I'm a homeschooling mom of 3 girls, an incurable DIY'er, and probably have the tightest decorating budget you've ever seen. Today I'm sharing how I pulled together a budget makeover of my laundry room.
The laundry room sits just off my dinning room and connects to my garage...that makes this space a walk-through, and when the laundry door is left open it becomes visible to my dinner guests. Decorating this room was a priority!
When pulling together a space, paint is often the greatest impact for the least money. This space was no exception! It went from a mustard yellow to a deep blue hue. I installed a new light fixture, new hardware on the cabinets, and lucked out on a resilient flooring sale, and with just 4 changes it seemed like a whole new space.
I encourage you to think outside the box when seeking decorative elements. A single 25 cent book from a library book sale provided all 6 prints for my mini gallery wall.
I believe that decorating should be married to organization, and when the two come together, you have maximum function as well as a beautiful space!
My biggest piece of organizing advice is to attend to the little details that make your life easier. My laundry room does more than get my clothes clean...it is the storage room that helps us keep the rest of the house clean! It is chock full of little organizing tricks which you can read more about here. Thank you for allowing me to share my laundry room makeover with you today. And thank you for having me Marty!
Isn't that a fabulous space to work in. I love how she thought of storage for everything, even drying paint brushes. I don't think she missed a thing. Now if you don't follow her, then hop over and click that button, you really don't want to miss a single post.
Thanks so much for letting me feature you today Ursula, I loved having you.
