Remember that wonderful fabric that I had stashed and then found again, well I was so excited to make a few pillows. As I started cutting, I couldn't believe that I only bought 1 yard of fabric of each. WHAT WAS I THINKING? This fabric wasn't expensive, only about $10.95 a yd, so I surely didn't need to skimp. In order to make 2 pillows with the front and back of each pillow out of the same fabric, I needed 1 1/2 yds for a 20 inch pillow. Now I could only get two fronts out of one yard, so I needed to do some more "double duty" pillows.
Remember when I showed you that since this fabric was so expensive,
I only bought 1/2 yard then used a contrasting fabric for the back?
I had to do the same thing again. I looked through my stash to find a fabric that I knew I would use and would mix in with my other pillows. My "dot" fabric was the winner.
I think I am more and more loving this idea of "double duty". Any time you can get 2 for 1 that's a good thing.
What you think? Are you liking "double" too?
