Lamps For The Master Bedroom

If you are following along, I am in the midst of trying to do an update and mini makeover in our Master Bedroom.  I am replacing some of the accessories and some really tired beige bedding with new beautiful white.  So far my accent fabrics have been a fail, so I am switching up things and working on lamps.

This is my hubby's nightstand.  I like this picture moved here (it was previously above the dresser) and this lamp works great.  I bought a new oval shade for an updated look.

Since our house is small, his nightstand is not very big, but it functions beautifully.  He likes having the alarm on his side of the bed, so I needed a lamp with a fairly small footprint.  This one works great and I love the finish.

Kind of a mix of gold, bronze and white.  I need something like that to coordinate on my side on the dresser.

(Still waiting for the new white bedding I ordered.  White sheets filling in 'til next week.)

I am going to call this good for now and work on the dresser.

I've had this lamp for years, the height is perfect, now to see if I can give it new life with a little paint.  (My mother's Day flowers are still so pretty.)

I'll do a complete tutorial if this works out.  #hoping#believing#experimenting.

Be sure to get all of your projects lined up for Inspire Me Tuesday.  Party goes live Monday afternoon at 3 PM CMT.  Can't wait to see you there.

  1. Hello Lady M,
I been following you along since from the beginning, LoL* Some of you ideas I entered at home.

I just came from beddings shopping. I on ly use white beddings. It feels hotel mood but white is clean and calm.

Can't wait to see your great projects...

    Have a nice & a blessed Sunday.

    Hugs,

I'm not even going to try to catch up and comment on everything I missed; just know I've been lurking and love all the things you've been doing lately....well, actually everything you do, period! Have a great week!

  10. Your hashtags made me laugh out loud -- or should I say, LOL ! Can't wait to see your finished project -- I've just bought a couple of yard sale lamps to experiment on, as well -- then I don't feel so guilty if they end up at the curb! Good luck! Cynthia

  12. What a pretty lamp, Marty! Beautiful. I'm looking forward to see the painted one. I did the same thing you are doing but no new bedspread..just some silk Laura Ashley chalk pink shades. After all the papering, I'm watching the budget! :) Your bedroom is going to be stunning just like the rest of your home!

  13. Wow, it looks like the perfect size for hubby's nightstand, Marty! I am drawn to lamps like I am to pillows, but I am pretty good at restraining myself with them. I am, however, redoing the lampshades on our two side table lamps. Of course, I am adding my own touch to them. : )
