Oh Christmas Tree - Oops The Lights Went Out

Time to take the final pictures of the Christmas tree - you know, to document all the pretty ornaments and how lovely the room looks all aglow --

dollar store and vintage ornaments next to each other -

small flying doves -

and big ones too ---pretty packages wrapped in pretty papers and bows - -

everything aglow with all the lights - -

the packages look like they glow too - --

even the special angel ornament seems to glow --

Then the lights go out on the top of the tree.

We bought all new lights this year,  somehow something still went wrong.

Oh well, it is still pretty - - - maybe we'll start a new trend.

  1. We have the same style going on Marty - mine looks the same! Get a Light Keeper Pro - it is magic when it comes to fixing Christmas lights! I just haven't wanted to hoist a ladder out to get to the top of my tree. :-) It is a light saver to have at this time of year. Tree still looks beautiful! Merry Christmas!

  3. oh no....We had that happen to our older tree on the back porch. Hubby put new lights on the tree, then we had a storm and the tree blew over, and the top lights went out. But, bless you, this is your pretty tree. I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas! Sheila

  6. Oh wow, new lights and all. Ugh. But, yes, it's still pretty. I think I need to get one of those Light Keeper Pro tools too, just to have on hand. HGTV magazine wrote about them in WalMart, and I think there was a rush for them, but I heard Amazon still had them.

  8. I love your tree---it's great that we are savvy enough to mix up our ornaments! I feel bad about your lights. I do mine now with my daughter and I know how difficult it is. I hope you get it corrected soon.

    Merry Christmas, my friend! :)

  12. I just had to laugh when I saw the top of your tree went out...you're in good company! The top of ours went out, thankfully right before I decorated it. Got that changed out and then about a week ago the bottom section went out. You're right, maybe it will be a new trend :) Have a merry Christmas!

  13. Oh my, it's a pain in the you know what, Marty, lol.. Your top looked so funny all dark, what a drag! It happens every year to me too, except Mr. Living is an expert and comes to the rescue most of the time.
Several years ago the tree fell on top of me too, although lots of ornies broke, I really got a laugh, while Alejandro was recuing me from under. Wish there were cameras on the phones back then to immediately take pics. I always remember the incident and laugh.
    Merry Christmas.

  14. Your tree is beautiful, nonethelesss! We had a light go out once in the middle of the tree and I ended up taking the whole @#%$&@# thing apart, but could never find the defective bulb! A glass of wine calmed me down ;) and my husband stepped in to help string another set of new lights. Have the merriest Christmas and a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year!
