Spring On The Porch

I had so much fun getting everything ready for the 2016 Spring Home Tour (you can see my home here), and check out the review of all 30 homes here.  With all the fun touches of spring, of course my front porch needed a little sprucing up too.  Not much had happened since Christmas, I just took all the red plaid away and left it pretty much as it was.  So time for Spring to show up.

We have your basic Arizona beige stucco, red tile roof home.  I love that our home has a small front porch, this is such a fun space to decorate.

Tulips just scream Spring, so a few made it to the front door and the porch.

Fall foliage and feathers were traded out for a bunch of white tulips.  I love how pretty the white shows up on the brown door.

Since I had a lot of yellow inside and it is a color I have been crushing on lately, of course it had to show up on the porch too.

A few yellow tulips fell into the rainboot and I just left them.  How fun.

Such a bright and cheerful welcome from the street.  I think it just invites you in.

The weather is perfect right now and I have had a great time sitting here enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning, wish you could join me.

  25. Morning Marty! Love the combination of yellow and black and white. Unique and chic! Funny story...I noticed your rockers and I have the exact same ones. I found mine thrown out in an alley in terrible condition but I painted them white, added some cushions and now they're my favorite place to have morning coffee. Talk about Thrifty! I'll be doing a post on them soon if you want to check them out. Nothing says welcome like a rocking chair! Hugs,

And you are always right, one doesn't need tons of money to have good taste and to come up with such inviting and warm places or spaces at home. Your front porch looks charming!
