Friday Shopping Finds - Mother's Day Money

I originally went out shopping trying to find some floaty chairs to use in the pool, but along the way I found all kinds of treasures.  This was my day to hit the BARGAIN JACKPOTS.  I love grouping all my treasures in one place and enjoying my finds, so I put them on the sofa.

Since I was near At Home of course I had to stop in.  Now how could I not buy this fabulous horse.  Ever since I got my horse painting every horse I see just grabs my attention and this pretty carved horse is a stunner.  This was on the 50% off clearance aisle.  I couldn't find a thing wrong with him, but for $20 (originally $39.99) he hopped right in my basket.

I also found this really big gray candle on clearance.  $7.50 (originally $14.99).  Just down the road is Home Goods, so when you are that close you have to stop in, right?  I found this pretty gray shag pillow for $14.99.

In the same shopping center is a TJMaxx.  They are usually in the same building, but this one is a stand alone in my area.  I found a ton of treasures there this trip.  I love checks and this absolutely gorgeous gray and white throw was on their clearance aisle for $16.00 (originally $29.95).  They always have two clearance aisles, I found this in the bedding clearance aisle.

Pillows are always super inexpensive at TJMaxx and usually a pretty good selection.  I picked up this pretty gray/silver beaded one for $14.99.  Yes I actually paid the real price, not on sale. haha

This pretty yellow and gray pair was exactly what I wanted for this summer, so getting two with down inserts for $19.99 was well worth the full price.  I know paying full price again.!!! amazing.

I just had to play when I got home, so I washed these and added them to my breakfast table.  Aren't they gorgeous.  These were on the dish and home decor clearance aisle.  $2.00 each and I actually found 4 by carefully looking through everything.  A couple here and a couple over there.  How perfect.  (originally $3.99 ea.)

I always scour their linen aisles, they have some great finds there.  I wanted some gray napkins and these are perfect.  4 for $5.99 and again I paid full price.  (I know, I go a little wild sometimes. haha)

So, what do you think?  I did good for $92.47.  Mother's day money always makes for fun shopping.

My other Mother's day money bought me this beauty.  Isn't it fabulous.  I wanted a small all stainless BBQ and this one is just perfect.  (I know the plants are awful, hubby is repotting a bunch for a sale coming up for the Master Gardeners and they got sorted on my patio.  They are leaving this week, hurrah)

For Mother's Day I also got some gorgeous flowers and a beautiful carved cheese tray.  I love being spoiled, it is so fun don't you think.

  1. I really like all your pretty new mother's day shopping items, Marty! I really like those awesome goblets - you can use them forever and all year, which is awesome.

And I have never seen a small S/S bbq grill before. We seem to have to replace ours every few years - my husband says, yes everything is stainless but the rusty stuff they put it together with - and he wonders why they bother b/c they fall apart within a few years. Nothing built to last anymore. Our forefathers would be horrified at our waste of finite materials. Ugh.

Anyway, your pillows are super special and will be fun seeing what all you do with all your new treasures. It is in the mid 40s, rainy and cold here and I keep thinking I wanna hit up Tuesday Morning (ours are awesome in this city) and HG and TJM - not a fan of any of our At Homes - but the ones I have shopped in Indianapolis are nice. Weird how they differ, ya know?

Anyway, have a wonderful day. I feel so bad - my niece has her prom tonight. BRRRRR.

  2. Great finds! Your horse painting has had me smitten. I sent some horse photos I'd taken off to be processed yesterday so maybe I can hang them on my living room wall.

  7. Love, love, love your goodies Marty!! I found those horses as well, I splurged and bought two! I felt like they needed to flank something, like on my fireplace, or maybe on a buffet? I'm saving them till' they tell me they are ready for the spotlight :)

  12. What a terrific shopping spree! You are SO fortunate to have stores such as At Home and T.J. Maxx nearby. The nearest Home Goods, TJ Maxx or Marshall's store is 120 miles away from me! You put together a beautifully coordinated selection of items; I especially love your horse and yellow and gray pillows. Truly, I especially love it all! I've never seen a grill that size, I wonder if I could talk my husband, the "grill master" into downsizing. Enjoy every single one of your treasures!

  15. So many treasures in one shopping trip? You are great shopper. So much , have to think about my favorites, are they all your favorites, if so sure understand. So lucky to have Home Goods and At Home where you live. Hadn't heard of At Home before. We do have TJMaxx here (Grand Junction, CO)and Target, Herbergers.
We lived in San Diego areas for 21 yrs. where shopping is excessive. When we moved to Helena, MT in '92 there wasn't much there at all so got used to doing without lot of shopping. Can you believe have never been in an IKEA?
Next month we're going to San Diego for first time since we left in '92? Two oldest kids live there. Will get to see oldest son's 2 boys who live in KY. Who knows if will get to see oldest kid. Our two youngest live in G.J. area.
Do your kids close to you, and grandkids? Hope so, makes life nice.
    Enjoy all those incredible treasures.
