Does Your House Smell Fresh & Welcoming

I love a home that smells clean and fresh when you first walk in the door.  Anything with a pretty orange or lemon scent smells especially clean to me.  Just something about citrus that always seems like a clean pallet.  Now I know that bleach and ammonia gets everything really clean, but the smell really isn't too pretty, so I like to have a candle burning before my guests arrive that just gives the whole house a really pretty citrus clean smell.

Finding that perfect scent is not always easy.  I recently discovered Field + Fleur.  I love all of their nature inspired scents and was delighted when they sent me a few samples.

I chose Fresh Linen as one of my favorite scents.  This is such a beautiful scent, nothing forced or heavy, just the wonderful fresh scent of linens straight off the clothesline.  Their description is "a cool, clean and uplifting blend of lemon and orange interwoven with bergamot, rose, jasmine and musk."

They also sent me a sample of their White Pine spray fragrance.  This smells like being in the mountains on a cool crisp morning.

I also really love the Myrrh Wood scent.  This sophisticated and elegant fragrance layers earthly patchouli and myrrh with warm amber and sandalwood.  This will be perfect for the holidays.

I really appreciate the wonderful scents, but I also really appreciate a pretty candle too.  I think this beautiful amber glass container is stunning.  Such a pretty accent for any table.

I've decided to leave it on the front entrance hall table so the fragrance will greet my guests the minute they walk in the door.

There are so many wonderful collection and fragrances to choose from, you will have a hard time choosing a favorite.  One of the next ones I want to try is the Grapefruit * Persimmon Collection, or maybe the Peony * Blush and I think the Along The Garden Path Collection would probably be a favorite too.

Be sure to visit Field + Fleur to see all the wonderful fragrances they have to offer.  I am sure you will find something that will become a favorite, and what fabulous gift ideas too.

This is a sponsored post by Field + Fleur, but all opinions are mind.

  1. Maybe because we don't get below-freezing temperatures in winter, but everybody around here opens their windows for at least 15 minutes a day in winter (and windows stay open the rest of the year...air conditioning is rare). It really helps to keep the house smelling nice.

  2. Pretty candle...I like to have one burning when guests come over. Not only does it smell nice but it just adds to the ambiance. Have a great weekend, Marty!

  3. I also like burning essential oils in my diffuser and my burners. I tend to like scents like patchouli or sandalwood, etc. I may have to try a citrus scent.

It appeared you had a catalog in one of your photos, but when I went to the website for the company I could find nowhere to order a catalog. How do you get one? do you need to order something to get one?

    1. I received the catalog with my order. However they do have a place on their site to sign up for a newsletter, so that will give you information also. Plus they have quite a few retail stores, so that would be a good place to visit and then you could really test all of the scents.

  5. Pretty candles! I usually go with vanilla for some reason. But I like fresh scents that aren't too strong too.

  6. I am the same way- I love a fresh, clean smell---anything with orange, lemon or lime. I am fussy about smells, too. The sad thing is that a couple of years ago I had a really bad sinus infection and lost all sense of smell. You would think I wouldn't eat anything because I lost the sense of smell---sadly it doesn't work that way....I haven't lost a pound!

Enjoy those sweet scents, Marty. xo Diana
