Master Bedroom Redo In The Works

Remember all this fabric that I was working with for a new color scheme.

Well, now we have even more choices. I found these two turquoise feather pillows at GW and bought them to use as the inserts, then when they came home, they looked awesome with the orange fabric. Now I am trying to figure out how to make it all work and which fabrics to use and what to loose.

I played with just using the navy, orange and turquoise.

Also trying to figure out accessories. I found enough white frames to put out a few of my favorite photos. I so love that photo in the back of my grandson and I at his graduation, then of course I love the pic of my mom and dad (I sure miss them), my favorite picture of my granddaughter and my precious little great-grandson. They make my life so blessed. Not so sure about the navy tablecover.

Maybe using some of the plaid works.

A piece of the stripe fabric draped over the table. (excuse the wrinkles) This could work too.

Not sure what is going to work. I just need to play with all the fabrics some more.

So, I am all for input and critique. What is missing, needed or should be deleted?
I really value your opinion.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I always look forward to your visits.

  1. Woow beautiful, beautiful...!
    Nice weekend:)

  2. I like the checkered table cover best Marty. You know I love that fabric too, I havent ordered it yet. Cant wait to see what you come up with. Have a wonderful and blessed weekend.

  3. I really like the striped has a nice sheen to it. And I LOVE your new blue pillows, perfect year round!

  4. It's all beautiful, Marty. I am loving the striped table cover.

  5. Marty- GREAT fabrics, but I think the plaid is the richest and works best. Whatever you do, I know willbe beautiful
    xoxo pattie

  6. Hi Marty, fabrics are one of my "many" weaknesses!! I'm loving the deep navy, and the stripe and mini plaids are also wonderful.. you tweaked my urge to do some sewing once again... I hope you have a terrific w/k..
    hugs ~lynne~

  7. Hmm, lots of great choices, Marty, but I think the plaid works best. It is a nice colour, rich looking but not too busy, and doesn't compete with the blue and white pieces like the navy does. The blue pillows are really nice too. Lots of choices, but I know you will pull it all together so well.

  8. Hi, it's adorable the pictures frames. The fabrics are wonderful. All of them are perfect, I suggest you put one each week.I liked the navy and the plaid tablecover, but I prefer the plaid. Hugs,

  9. Hi Marty,

I'm loving the plaid! It all just ties in so nicely. Great job!

  10. Hi Marty, I was wondering what you were up to. My opinion - I like the plaid table cover. I wouldn't get rid of the navy, it adds a lot of depth. Looking at photos helps, doesn't it?

  11. I am confused. I thought that the orange and blues were for the family room. Now are they going in the bedroom instead or also?? I prefer the tans, oranges and aquas.....the navy doesn't thrill me as much. Not that it isn't pretty, but since you asked!!! Have fun!

  12. Looks beautiful!! Also looks very fall!!!

  13. I love the navy. It is rich. I also love the plaid too. I am not liking the stripe to much. You are a great decorater. I am sure what ever you do it will look great. Would love to see the rest of the room and which colors you have chosen there.

Have a great weekend and enjoy.

  14. Marty,

I'm new to blogging, but I wait everyday to see what you are up to. My favorite blog!!!

    I love the plaid. Beautiful!!!

  15. Hi Marty!! Oh, you little thing! What beautifulness you're creating. I think all the fabrics look so pretty and I'd have a hard time deciding. Whatever you decide will turn out wonderfully - you're the best.
Have a great weekend and be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  16. I really love the plaid in the mix. Whatever you decide I know will be wonderful. Sally

  17. They are all so pretty, Marty! My suggestions are: 1. Put everything away and rest your eyes and mind from the colors and patterns. Come at it again in a few days with fresh eyes again. 2. The navy with the orange might be nice for the Fall/Winter months and the lighter blue or aqua for Spring/Summer.

  18. many choices. I can't wait to see how you pull it all together.

  19. Decisions, Decisions...
It's so difficult because no matter what you choose, it's going to look wonderful. It sure would be easier if one thing were a defiite "no".

I'm no expert as most would agree, but I LOVE the plaid, at least for fall/winter. You could possibly keep that stripe and change it out for spring. Of course, knowing how you just HATE to switch things out and change and all...

Can't wait to see what you choose!

  20. Hello Marty,

I agree with Shelia that they all look wonderful, but I'll have to say I have a slight preference for the plaid. I like the way it repeats the colors and patterns of your chairs and seat cushions, on a larger scale. The soothing earth colors provide a great backdrop for that exciting orange & turquoise oriental fabric.

    Have a great weekend!

  21. You know Marty, I like everything you do so I say do what you like best! They all look nice!
And I love the family pics! You resemble your Mom and I bet you do miss her.
    Big Hugs,

  22. Ok, so this is just my humble opinion, but I personally LOVE how the plaid looks! But truly, all of the fabrics are gorgeous and you really can't go wrong! I can't wait to see what you end up doing!

  23. Love the blue and the red patterned fabric. So regal!!! Enjoy your restful night's sleep :)

  24. Wow...this is a tough the gold plaid or check table the new aqua pillows with the orange print....not liking the navy blue, now it seems too strong, also not liking the blue ceramics with this about going back to the green with this new mix??? Also, just to cause more confusion, the color purple speaks to me in this group.......I Know you will make it work...hugs, cleo

  25. For some reason I like the big check table topper. It seems to work really well with what you have. I say with pillows, the more the merrier! You can always trade them out every little bit and rotate them.

  26. Love the colors, your fabric is just gorgeous!

  27. Marty,
I am amazed at all the beautiful fabrics you draw inspiration from in your home decor! Loving that look on the bed with the turquoise blue pillows and the orange pillows against the beige! ! !
The large plaid table covering argues with the smaller scale fabric on the chairs and drapes.M-m-m- the herringbone weave is such a nice texture! I felt the striped fabric was a better complememtary choice scale and furnitue style wise. Leaving the rooster out you might pull in some aqua blue and orange table accessories! I'm excited to see what you choose. . .it will utterly delight our eyes for sure! Thank you for letting me share my thoughts!

  28. Beautiful , beautiful fabric.....Love the look

  29. Plaid table cloth, good scale , turqouise pillows with the orange. The navy feels too harsh to me!!IMHO,Hugs Kathysue

  30. I really love them all too. I know whatever you choose it will be wonderful. Liking the plaid myself.

  31. I had to see this room because I know you are a married woman and I see that it is not ultra feminine and that's important unless you have a husband (like mine - big body builder but loves pink and flowers) so yours is a great arrangement. I love the Navy!

  32. I especially liked the striped fabric but it is sort of like picking between cute children! have a wonderful holiday! hugs♥olive

  33. Oh I adore the orange print and your GW pillows. I am not sure about the navy. I think the cool navy is fighting with the warm orange. It might just be the lighting of the photos. The neutral tan works well and I do spy green in the orange print too,

  34. I love it all Marty!! But I think the navy looks slightly better than the others..

  35. Marty I think you need to move that beautiful wicker and wood chair out of your bedroom.....and into my house :) I love all of the decor.

  36. The Chinoiserie fabric is simply stunning.

I like the new cushions and like the plaid tablecloth best.

You have such a warm space; it matches your warm heart :)

  37. Marty, I'm late weighing in on this, but my initial thought was that the plaid is the one that pops and pulls it all together. Love the orange with the turquoise. What a terrific find! I think these fabrics work well together and give the room a lighter touch. But whatever you select will be lovely. You have wonderful style sense. ~ Sarah

  38. Marty, you have wonderful taste...I say which ever you love the most. I love the picture frames. Have a great day. Sue@Sprucelakecottage.

  40. I love the room!
    Oh, how loverly!
I, too, prefer the plaid cover!
But all of them are great choices, really!
You are blessed to have so many choices ;)

  41. Hello Marty, Your Master is coming together nicely. I love your color choices. The small table looks wonderful with the small striped fabric. It flows well with all the other fabrics!

  42. I love your style. I think all of them are lovely!! It's a win no matter what you choose. = ) Happy Sunday!

  43. Hi Marty!

Well, they are all beautiful colors and fabrics. I really like the two new blue pillows you just bought. I don't think I would cover them up. Maybe just an embellishment on them here and there. I really like the plain table covering.

    So many choices!

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

  44. Can't wait to see what you come up with! I love the turquoise and orange! I know you will get just the right mix, you always do!

  45. I love that lamp, just beautiful!!!

  46. Marty, this is beautiful. I love the plaid table topper. The pillows look gorgeous. laurie
