Welcome to the 102nd Table Top Tuesday. Wow, we are really sailing along. Today we are also going to be linking to Barb @ Grits and Glamour for her Wild About Nature Blog Party. I hope you will link your vignettes including nature to her party too, and if you don't know her, be sure to click to follow her blog, you will be amazed at her talent.
I have been starring at a ton of topiaries that I keep seeing in blogland and loving the look. So I thought I would find some ivy at the DT and a container of some kind and make one. Then when I was in Ross the other day, this just jumped out and grabbed me. The container had a chip in the wood so it was marked down to $4.99. I used a little stain to cover the chip and you can't even tell. I couldn't buy all the stuff to make one for that price.
I think it works great in my vignette and perfect for the desk area.
Some shoe lasts, a globe and my little desk top organizer and I am all set.
Thanks tons for stopping by. I always look forward to your visits and I can't wait to see all of your beautiful displays and vignettes.
Also, since we are all trying to figure out what is going to happen with our followers when GFC closes, I hope you will click on one of the options on my sidebar and continue TO FOLLOW ME. Please see my post Following Nightmares. It explains some of the different options.
Yikes! I typed my title wrong! Pretty as always, Marty! Thanks for hosting!...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteYour topiary is so pretty & the dog so cute, both great bargains! I always enjoy being here for Table Top Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Carol
Hi Marty
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to thank you for being one of the first to follow me on linky tools. I very much appreciate your support and your fabulous party each week. I wouldn't miss it. Following you on linky too.
Carolyn xx
Marty, I'll say that you couldn't buy the stuff to make one for that price. I found some wonderful wool pillows regularly $79.99 for $15.99. I also felt that I couldn't begin to buy the wool to make them for that price. Your puppy looks sweet. He'll keep you comapny when you are busy at your desk. Hoefully, he won't bark too much. lol!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jann
I love topiaries, Marty! I'm sure I have way too many throughout my home! You couldn't pass up that deal ~ even with a chip it was a great buy.

Everything looks great, Marty. 102! WOW! I love your new little topiary. That was certainly the find of the week! I use a sofa table in our great room for my "desk" so I am in the midst of things, too! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOh, just lost all my comments, so have to start again!! lol
ReplyDeleteHi Marty,
Really enjoyed seeing your desk top vignette. I too, love topiaries, there is just something so neat about them. It looks lovely on your desk along with that cute lil dalmation. I found a white pitcher at the Hospice
shop this week, and really liked it. It is in a not so exciting vignette on my dining room table, needing some red tulips I feel, so hoping to find some soon..............lol
Thanks for coming by earlier and your sweet comments as always,
Thanks for being a blessing by hosting.
Blessings for a good week,
Nellie

ReplyDeleteLovely vignettes, and that looks like a really neat book. I really have enjoyed some of Emilie Barnes books in the past. So I am sure it is a delightful book.

ReplyDeleteHi Marty, First, your beautiful blog has a great following because it is great. Everyone will find you. I joined your blog network just now. I feel as if we all need to join in as many places as possible for each blog, then it won't matter whether hosts would want to drop options. PS your post was lovely, great find...so jelous! ReplyDeleteHi Marty, I'm wild for ivy topiaries. I find them on the cheap at Lowe's. I've also learned to make my own so I have them to enjoy year round. I love your vignette using your ivy and the Dalmatian, both such deals. I'll go over and meet Barb, thanks for introducing Wild About Nature.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting.

Marty, Your topiary is really neat. You have the perfect spot for it. BTW, love the fabric and rug you've chosen for your bathroom too.

That little spotted darling is so cute! You always find such treasures at GW. I think I might try the one 30 mi. away again this week although I've never had any luck there!
ReplyDeleteI love that little dog, and we are a pet free home . It is adorable.

Hi Marty! Oh, yes, you did good! I love your topiary and the little dog is adorable! Thanks again for hosting.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I'm so behind and turned around that I hadn't read your Following Nightmare post. I'll have to read it. I'm so ferhoodled about this stupid following thing. I think they created one big hot mess by getting rid of google friend connect. ONE BIG HOT MESS.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I love your vignette as always. I grinned because you keep a makeup brush on your desk. (Or is it to dust the computer keyboard?) I love those shoe stays, and the topiary is da bomb.
I actually found a store in town that has good deals. I hate our GW, but the Habitat Restore is looking pretty promising. I got a plate rack for 2 bucks, and a bunch of other stuff all for eight. Finally. True thrift.
Oh, I love it all, but especially the centerpiece chicken on the green plaid tablecloth!
ReplyDeleteThanks for explaining about the followng. As a newer blogger, I'm still trying to figure it all out.
Thanks for hosting! Such a cute dalmatian!
ReplyDeleteI wonder how long it would take for me to kill a topiary? I might just stick to a fake one! But I love yours and as always your home looks lovely! Thanks for hosting Marty, I love your parties. XO Cindy
ReplyDeleteSuch a sunny cheerfull place to blog. Love the puppy and you can never have too many topiaries!
ReplyDeleteLove the topiary and the dog is just too cute! Thanks for hosting a great party!
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures! I have finally figured out why I am drawn to your style... we both love browns, blacks and warm colors all together. I just feel that they provide a warm coziness. I'm not sure, Marty, that will all that you do how you find the time to read all of your fan mail... comments! Busy, busy lady.

I love your desk top vignette, so very attractive! I think this may be my first time at your party, I'm glad to join you today. I linked my "Craft Corner Table Top" post. Thanks for hostessing. Hugs ~ Mary
ReplyDeleteHow lucky can you be to walk in the store and find just what you needed! I love topiaries and the desk viginette is perfect. The cute puppy face is another great find. I am enjoying all the great links on your Tuesday Table Top! Happy Valentine's Day! Pam
ReplyDeleteMarty, Your topiary turned out great. I love your desk area. The dalmation is adorable. Marty, Please take a look at my post. I am really trying to get a message out here. You are welcome to repost if you wish.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
The topiary is fantastic! I've never had one, but oh so pretty. I think I'm partial to the dalmation, but then I am truly a "dog" person. I tend to spot them first be it in real life or in a display. Your whole table is lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove it, Marty! The puppy is so cute & looks good sitting at the base of your topiary. I have a post to link up but for some reason, I'm not having any luck with Mr. Linky. I've never had an issue before, so don't know what the deal is. At least I tried....lol!
ReplyDeleteCAS
Great price on it Marty, I found one at TJMaxx for 7.99 only it's white on the bottom, you can see it in one of my pictures:) Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteRondell

Hi Marty, I got the Linky thingy and am following you, may you follow me too? Thank you Sunny109 (Dianna)
ReplyDeleteHey Marty,
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting. I love your dogs - I'm all about anything dogs so you had me at the lamp :)
Although I already follow you through GFC, I switched over to Linky last week just in case. I'm hoping people will do the same for me - at least follow me in a different format than GFC since I may be phasing it out. I just don't trust them.
Have a great day.
Hi lovely lady.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for hosting your party.
