The entertainment center has been cleaned and polished from top to bottom.
Now, where in the world do you put all that furniture while the carpet drys. Thank goodness there is room in the breakfast area. So, the coffee table and 3 large chairs plus a few other things are all stuffed into this one area. I left myself a trail to get to the computer, lol, of course that is a necessity.
What a mess. This will probably take most of the day to dry, so thank goodness I am leaving soon for a birthday party. Staring at this would drive me nuts. So glad this job is done, I think shampooing carpets is a ton of work.

Hope you are having a fun and relaxing day, mine will be when this is all put back together.
Wish I had some of your energy. Hugs
ReplyDeleteSpring cleaning needs to begin here, as well. You're way ahead.
ReplyDeleteThere have been some projects we've been taking care of first.
It's a satisfying feeling when it's all done.
Looks wonderfully clean!! You will have it all put back in no time and it feels so good to have things deep cleaned!!
ReplyDeleteMiss Bloomers
Yes, our carpets need shampooing in our family room as well.
ReplyDeleteIt's snowing quite heavy here today so no spring cleaning yet.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
I don't think you ever slow down. You are making me jealous with your super clean home!
ReplyDeleteBoy Marty you are on a roll! Your room sure is looking clean and fresh, doesn't that make you feel good!
ReplyDeleteSalute to your efforts Marty, I know how much tough and messy to shampoo a carpet, my lounge carpet needs more and it is so hectic ... but the end result makes my heart happy sure like yours... And I always love your neat, managed and full of natural light home very much...

ReplyDeleteYour home always looks spotless, but if you say the carpet needed cleaning , ok then... rest so you'll have the energy to put all that stuff back in place..:)
ReplyDeleteYes, its a big job, but I always feel sooooo good when its done and everything is in place...take a rest girl!!! hugs...cleo
ReplyDeleteDon't you love the feeling of everything being so clean after a good Spring cleaning? I know I do, but since we're still in the midst of Winter here, it'll be awhile for me! Don't work too hard Marty!
ReplyDeleteI bet it looks and smells so good! I only have carpet in my family room and I get it cleaned twice a year. It always makes me happy! :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun at your party!

Jane
You just simply amaze me.....it is going to be so fresh! Love spring cleaning!!
ReplyDeleteMakes me tired just looking at it.LOL It does look so fresh and clean though...great job and I'm sure your glad it's done!
ReplyDeleteRondell
Wow Marty, you are getting tons done!! I need to do a lot of spring cleaning myself.
ReplyDeleteSpring cleaning ? You will be at my house about what time? Should not take you and Debbie long to get it done working together. :-D
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the party !
It's not fun during! But the after is great.
ReplyDeleteBut at least in your warm weather it will dry...take a month up here to dry out! You've gots lots of energy girl..oh also love those chachies (sp) in your bathroom adorable!
ReplyDeleteYou are getting a good jump on spring cleaning. It will look fabulous when it's all put back together and you'll be so glad it's done!
ReplyDeleteThat is alot of work. The weather here has been so nasty today. Lots of heavy rain and wind.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your party.
Melissa
Talk about a "jump on spring cleaning" !! I would say you have already gotten a complete pole-vault on it, compared to where I am with it.
ReplyDeleteYOU GO, GIRL!! Enjoy the birthday party!
Such hard work Marty, but goodness when its sparkles like that it's worth all the time and trouble :o)
ReplyDeleteIsn' is difficult having carpets cleaned! I mean, moving all that stuff, and like you said...where to keep it all day while the carpet dries! I wasn't very smart, I had some of our rooms cleaned the week before Christmas...never again! Will sure look good once dry and everything is back in place Marty!!! :)
ReplyDeleteFeel free to come to my house when you're done. I dust today and tomorrow it needs it again! Housework is definitely a never-ending battle.
ReplyDeleteDeep cleaning really is very rewarding...It's all behind you, and now
ReplyDeletethe easy part is redecorating...
have fun..
I'll bet it all looks and smells so clean, though, Marty, so sometimes the mess is worth it! I wish we could look into different flooring here. We do have tile in certain areas and wood in the kitchen, but there is wall to wall carpet everywhere else. I'd love to put a black and white vinyl tile in the sunroom and wood in the dining area, but the configuration in this condo might make that difficult.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lot of work but there is nothing like clean carpets! I haven't even started my spring cleaning yet so you are way ahead of me! LOL
ReplyDelete~Des
Looking good! Did you shampoo the carpets yourself? My girls have carpeting in their bedrooms, and it SOOOO needs to be cleaned. Just curious if you hired somebody or went the DIY route.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks great, Marty! Your carpet looks amazing! I know everything smells so good and clean! I'm ready to do the same thing! Don't work too hard!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this motivation. I need to clean my hardwood floors, and I'm faced with the same dilemma. Where can I move the furniture while I'm cleaning those floors??? But what a feeling of accomplishment when you're finished.
ReplyDeleteYou are an inspiration♥
ReplyDeleteMarty,
ReplyDeleteWhew! That made me tired just looking at all the shine going on at your house! A bit early for Spring Cleaning here on the Prairie! Lots of dreary days with drizzle...the kind that make you want to curl up with a good book or a GREAT blog!
Fondly,
Pat
Marty I hear you. I hate messes and boy do we have one going on right now as well. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteCarpet shampoo upstairs and new hardwoods are also on our agenda.
No carpet cleaning of the new carpet yet...but I do dread it. I am still not over having the entire house painted, new carpet, kitchen and bathroom floors, new roof and AC installed. JUST thinking of doing even carpet cleaning puts me in a panic! By the way, mess? What mess?? :):)
ReplyDeleteOH, I feel tired just from looking, Hang in there it will look great again.
ReplyDeleteIt's always worth it in the end though! ;)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Aledia
Goodness, Could you send some of that energy my way ?
ReplyDeleteHugs, Laura
Marty,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by. Your comments are always encouraging. I remember the days of cleaning carpet. That is hard work, but so worth it. I've started some spring cleaning too. Yesterday when I was cleaning, I found a leak under the kitchen sink. Thankfully, it was only the sink sprayer, and we were able to just purchase a new one and put it on. Something we could do ourselves. It had made quite the mess under the sink though. Just a slow drip. Glad it's fixed!!
Your home is always so spotless. Everything just shines!
Enjoy your clean carpet, and have a blessed week!
Kathy
I have to get started on my spring cleaning.
ReplyDeleteLook at you! You are into your spring cleaning, big time! You are wonderful at keeping everything looking just beautiful! I think I'd better get my spring cleaning put on my schedule! Will you send me some of your incredible energy?? You amaze me!!
ReplyDeleteHi Marty!
ReplyDeleteThose temporary messes are not a big deal to me when I know that it is now CLEAN! That's such a good feeling. Love the shampooed stripes on your carpet!
Hope is smells fresh... that's always a bonus too!

Your drapery panels are so pretty!
Great job Marty! That had to be a ton of work, but the payoff will be so nice! It's such a beautiful room.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had fun at the party!
Pam
We plan on replacing our carpet upstairs this year. It needs it bad! I thought the same thing. That will be a ton of work moving heavy beds etc. I don't look forward to that. You will be happy for the fresher cleaner carpet though when you get everything moved back. Now you can mark that off your Spring cleaning list!
ReplyDeleteMay I borrow you please? You are one ambitious lady!
ReplyDeleteYou smart lady - getting that spring cleaning started early! Glad you always leave a trail for the computer! LOL!
ReplyDeleteMarty, bet you are glad that task is DONE, sometimes DONE is my favorite word in projects and cleaning. I love for the job to be done. Thanks and hope your party was fun.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, it's entirely too soon for "spring" cleaning, more like post-holiday cleaning, if you ask me. But that said, I applaud your productivity, and I especially liked getting a peek at your bookcases, they look great.
