I hadn't spent a day at the spa in months, so finally yesterday was the day. I got the works. It felt so good to be pampered, I need to remember to do this more often.
First up was a massage. Oh, that is always the best ever. Then it was time for a haircut and color. I still need to have some highlights put in, but that will happen next week. (Taking a picture of yourself is so hard.)
I also got the works for my feet, callous treatment, massage therapy and pretty nails. (Yes, I need some sun or at least get out the tanning spray)
The added bonus was when I stepped on the scales today, I had lost 4 lbs. So 16 more to go or maybe 20, we'll see how the diet goes. Still striving to eliminate that tummy bulge.
A super fun day of being pampered. When was the last time you treated yourself to a full day at the spa?
Ummm never! But it sure sounds nice! I have been away to spas though so I really shouldn't complain. It's just been too long.
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful Marty!

ReplyDeleteMarty, you look beautiful.
I need to also go to the spas!! I hope they have a tub full of wrinkle cream for me... I may call ahead of time. I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your family.
XXOO Diane
You are just so darn cute...I want to be like you when I grow up.
ReplyDeleteLong time no talky....Hi Marty. I do visit your blog, but I don't comment as this past year has been very difficult for me. So since I haven't seen you since that one Bloggers Luncheon three years ago, you're looking wonderful. I never would have guessed you were 72. You're like my mom, she just turned 80 and no one believes it, they think she's still in her 60's. Keep pampering yourself girl.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meri
Never for me too! I wish!

ReplyDeleteHello Gorgeous! You look fabulous. My last spa day was in November on my birthday. I have to book a massage soon.
ReplyDeleteI have never had a full spa day - ever! The last time I had a mani/pedi was 4 years ago before our daughter's wedding. But, I do have massages on a regular basis - at least every 3 or 4 weeks. I can't believe you are 72. You look great! A spa day sounds wonderful. Enjoy the weekend. Pamela

ReplyDeleteNann
You look absolutely beautiful! I love coming to "visit" your blog--they're a lot older now, but you and your house remind me so much of my Granny when I was very little! She always kept a spotless, gorgeous home and it was just so inviting.
ReplyDeleteGood for you Marty! I so much love to see ladies enjoying life like you do! I really think it would be so interesting to meeting you! By the way, I'm on a diet too and I've already lost 20lbs. More 44lbs to go!

Marty you are such a sweet darling person! I want to be just like you when I'm 72! You don't look your age! I bet having a spa day was quite marvelous! I've never done anything like that before. I get my hair done every 6 weeks and that's the closest to pampering I get!

ReplyDeleteDebbie
You look beautiful! I have never treated myself to a day at a spa! I've had various things...a few massages in our last town and an occasional mani/pedi...but, I just don't treat myself. I do get my hair cut/colored every 6 weeks...I just call that maintenance!
ReplyDeleteYay YOU, Marty! You look Marvelous Darlink!! I hope I can be half as good when I get there & I loved seeing your hands...they remind me of my Mom's. Only she didn't have such a gorgeous ring!! Woo-Hoo!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to try the gel manicure so I'll be anxious to hear how yours held up. My DD's peeled in one day. :/
Oh my goodness Marty, you look fabulous for 72. I hope I look that great when I'm there.
ReplyDeleteBut I know what you mean since menopause I ended up with a tummy roll.
I am determined to rid 10 pounds by May when I turn the big 65.
My daughter and I go for manicures and next week it will be pedicures.
Must have our feet ready for the warm weather.
You had a great spa visit, Marty! I think you still have that teen spirit hidden in you. Great nail job on both of your feet and hands. You don’t have 72-year-old nails; you have 20-year-old nails. You’re still strong to be at the age of 72. More power, Marty!
