Wow 119, we are really moving right along. So much fun and so much creativity out there. Can't wait to see more.
I love the look of sunflowers, but I don't have any real ones, just the faux variety. At any rate, I love even my faux. With summer here, it was time to get out my dad's tool box and enjoy my sunflowers again. They just make me smile. A tablecloth for some added color too.
The wall stayed mostly the same, just a few additions to the shelf.
Impossible to get a good picture of, but I love it. It is a Golden Dew Drop, but DH says I have to tell you it is called Duranta. (Before this, nothing would grow and all I saw was the block wall.) This gorgeous plant loves the part shade part sun. I kept the desk top simple, just a topiary and the bunny pic.
Looking out my window, this really is so pretty. Love the bright lime green color.
So, what are you bringing out for summer and are you staying cool?
Now I can't wait to see what you have to share this week.
JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER AGAIN, PLEASE TURN OFF WORD VERIFICATION. Now that there are two words and they are almost impossible to figure out, it really keeps most from commenting. It isn't necessary and some don't even realize they have it turned on, so please check and turn it off so we can all comment on your fabulous projects.
Hi Marty, When you said Wow 119, I thought you were talking about the temp! But 112 is almost as bad. Thanks for hosting!

G´day Lady M...
ReplyDeleteYour home is so warm and comfy. I so love coming in and wander around, in every lil corner you have.
The sunflower give you the summer feelings and take note, your fan is too. It seems you have a warm and hot days. While, we Swedes are still struggling of our chilly, windy and rainy days.
BTW--- I have an old toolbox that I have some petunias in... Another things in common. I will show that next post.
Hugs on you TTT Day, dear Lady.

I think those sunflowers are just so cheerful on your table! Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteHi Marty,
ReplyDeleteAll your vignettes are ALWAYS PERFECT! But you've outdone yourself with the Memory Filled Toolbox full of Sunflowers! Simple BUT Priceless!!!
Have a WONDERFUL WEEK,
Big Hugs,
Donna
Hi Marty, I love it when you play with your sunflowers...what a gorgeous display they make as a centerpiece. Love the weathered caddy as well...the room looks so bright and cheerful. Must be so relaxing to sit at the desk and gaze at the pretty Duranta:)Thanks for being our gracious hostess this week! Stay cool!Hugs,Poppy
ReplyDeleteYour pretty sunflowers do say Summer, and I like them in the tool box like that.
ReplyDeleteGot my little fan out for the bedroom and it decided it did not want to work, so need to go shopping.
Always nice to change things up for the seasons and have a fresh new look. I use faux, too and the faux police can just come give me a faux ticket. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteHi lovely lady.
ReplyDeleteI also love all your toolbox with the Sun flowers how sweet. I have No Tablescape for today. We had to take my Great Dane Sophie to the Emergency hospital today Because she pull a mussel in her rear leg. So she needs lot of love from me. I hope you have a wonderful week with your family.
XXOO Diane
I love the sunflowers, Marty! I just read Kim's comment...I ditto what she said.:-)
ReplyDeleteAs for Summer and such. We had cool days that were about to come to an end. I was down by the creek yesterday morning getting my table together for Kathleen's beach challenge. I wanted to do an outdoor table and I knew if I waited much longer the heat and humidity would be back in business. Got pretty warm but the sun stayed behind the clouds until I was finished. The rest of my tables, for Summer, are indoors or on the porch until Fall.LOL
Thanks so much for hosting TTT.
Love the sunflowers, and the shelf is wonderful, love all the pitchers hanging! Just linked up, Marty. thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteLove your sunflowers in the toolbox, Marty! Such a great summery look. We have been having such beautiful weather here. I hope it sticks around for awhile. We use our ceiling fans, but that's about it. We generally keep the AC at about 74, maybe 72 at the hottest point during the day {and that's only if I'm home}. I'll be checking out the condo pool once the heat hits, so that will help conserve some energy.
ReplyDeleteWow Marty, I can't believe it's been 119 TTT. Time flies when we are having fun, so thank you for hosting such a great party every week. Love all the little ways you've fluffed up your nest for summer. Love the sunflowers in the tool box. I have a neighbor with a row of sunflowers blooming and they are so pretty. I should plant some, next year!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marty, have a great week.

Marty,
ReplyDeleteI L O V E Sunflowers, dear friend!!! Mine aren't out...just yet..but soon, very soon!!! That tool box full of Sunflowers nearly took my breath away! Gorgeous! We have our ceiling fans going and I believe we have the same oscillating fan, as the living room doesn't have an over~head fan! We're keeping the temp indoors at 77 this year, also!!!bThank you for hosting this weekly meme...it's one of my favorites! I appreciate your words of wisdom concerning word verification. With tri~focals, ( that's three sets of lenses) word verification is a nightmare!!!
Fondly,
Pat
I also bring out the fans. Heard that it is raining in Australia. I asked them to send some our way. Love the green. Does it bloom? Anything green in our part of the country in the summer is welcomed. I frequently get verdolaga growing & I just let it grow. It is wild. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHi Marty, I love sunflowers and we do plant them some years or our birds do. Of course here in Georgia ceiling fans and floor fans are a must. I just trimmed a climbing rose and the humidity is awfully thick. Thank you for hosting, olive
ReplyDeleteMarty, Your home always looks so warm and inviting. Thanks for hosting each week!
ReplyDeleteMary Alice
I love sunflowers too Marty and yours do look real, they look so pretty in the toolbox! Thank so much for hosting!

Marty, I love your sunflowers in your Dad's toolbox. Doesn't that make you smile when you look at your arrangement...so cheerful looking! Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteLove it Marty! And what a great idea to use your dad's toolbox as a vase/planter. They look beautiful (faux or not)!
ReplyDeleteLove the sunflowers. Thanks for hosting!!
ReplyDeleteOh the sunflowers in the toolbox are absolutely gorgeous. We use fans to keep cool but we are nowhere near those types of temperatures yet - sigh.
ReplyDeleteHello Marty, I love the sunflowers - I keep a swag of sunflowers and little blue flowers over the curtains on my kitchen windows - so very summery and cheerful - the bush is beautiful - I do appreciate you being a gracious hostess,
ReplyDeleteKathy
Hi Marty, I love the little white pitchers hanging on the shelf. The sunflowers are so cheery, aren't they. Thanks for once again hosting your party. It is so much fun to visit everyone. Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteThe first comment on this post by Cindy is pretty funny! Anywho - I love the sunflowers. My daughter had them in her farm wedding and they're so pretty! Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteMarty, Love the sunflowers in the tool box. Your computer spot looks so neat and pretty. If I took a picture of my computer table right now, you'd faint. It's a mess. That shrub is pretty. It's so hard to find something pretty that will grow in shade. laurie
ReplyDeleteHi Marty, Your sunflowers are lovely. Thank you for being such a gracious hostess.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine 112 deg. Whew! We've had a fairly cool Spring with lots of needed rain, so not a lot of need for the a/c yet. You look like you're ready for summer with the cute sun flowers and fans. Thanks for hosting another great party. Love your shrub. I certainly looks like it loves it there.
ReplyDeleteYour home is lovely ... always enjoy seeing what you've been up to. We were 112 last week, too. Do you perhaps live in Arizona? We're in Lake Havasu ... a real hot spot.
ReplyDeleteI love the sunflowers in the tool box.... I might have to shake things up around here.... hmmm. :)

ReplyDeleteYour dad's toolbox is so special, Marty! Love the way it looks filled with sunflowers! Thanks for hosting!...hugs...Debbie
I can't believe you hit 12 degrees already!!! Love your Dad's toolbox.
ReplyDelete- The Tablescaper
Your sunflowers look so realistic, very pretty. And so sweet to be able to use your dad's toolbox.
ReplyDeleteMarty,
ReplyDeleteThose are nice sunflowers. They look great.
It is getting close to 100 here.I use ceiling fans as well as the oscillating fans. I get cold with the air on 77, but hubby doesn't !
ReplyDeleteYour sunflowers sure look like summer. They make such a nice centerpiece on your table. We still have cool weather and spring flowers are still blooming! Thank you for hosting and happy June!

ReplyDeleteI usually bring out the sunflowers about the first of August, but I just may have to git'r'done a little earlier this year....you have inspired me!
Thank you for all of the lovely posts that you do...I read them all, but don't often comment.
It is HOT in Texas too, and yes we have a "variety" of fans in each room. Aren't they wonderful? Hopefully they save us a little money since the A/C doesn't have to run allllllll the time.
Blessings to you,
J
