95 Calories and 6 Carbs

I am trying so hard to loose a little bit of weight and still find nutritious things to eat that I really like.  I've discovered a fantastic wrap and salad mixture that is so good.

Doesn't this look good.  It really is and so filling, add some grapes or melon and you have a huge lunch.

Chicken salad and a ton of it.

I put a big pile of it on the bread and then wrap up really tight.

This is one of my secret weapons.  Joseph's Lavash Bread.  These things are so good and they are huge.  They measure 11" x 15".  Super big.

Don't you love that calorie count.

And the carbs are wonderful too.

So here's the skinny - - -

Assorted lettuces - 0 carbs       0 calories
Celery                 - 0 carbs       0 calories
Tomato               -0 carbs        0 calories
Green Onions     - 0 carbs       0 calories
1/2 can Chicken Breasts Chunks
                         - 0 carbs       30 calories
Lavash Bread     - 4 carbs        50 calories
Miracle Whip 1 tablespoon
                          - 2 carbs         15 calories ( corrected 25 calories)

Total                   6 carbs          95 calories( corrected 105 calories)

If you want a super lunch that tastes fabulous and is soooooooooo healthy, then give it a try.  You can do the same thing with tuna and it is the same carbs and calories.  Hope you enjoy

  1. Looks really good Marty! After losing 25 pounds on a 100 carb a day diet, I have continued to watch my carbs and now try to keep them at 150. To speed things up, try eating only protein first thing in the morning and then have a few carbs a little later with more protein. This helped me tremendously. It took me 6 months, but getting down 2 sizes is worth it.

  2. This looks so yummy! I'm always on the look out for low carb food ideas. Thanks for sharing!

  3. I hope I can find that flat bread here at my store. Such low carbs...yeah!

  4. Yum Marty. I am trying to lose a few over here too. It is hard isn't it?

  5. This looks delicious. I am wondering where you find the Miracle Whip with only 15 calories? I have both the regular MW (90 calories/1T) and the light (25 calories/1T). Dianne

    1. You are right, my mistake, it is 25 calories. That still makes this only 105 calories. Not bad.

  6. I am also trying and really watching carbs (my downfall, being Italian, is pasta!). I am going to look for this bread. I make wraps with lo-carb tortilla. This bread looks really good. xo

  7. ALL THAT for 105 calories!!!???? This is my new go to lunch!!! I hope I can find those breads???? XO, Pinky

  8. Marty, that looks really good. I am trying so hard to eat better and move a whole lot more. Got blogger butt.

  9. It looks great. I am starting to count carbs too and it is so hard for me. I love my carbs, but to lose weight you have to do things you may not like.

  10. That looks so yummy, Marty. I haven't seen that bread here. I'll have to look for it when I get to a larger supermarket.

  11. Marty..

thanks so much.. hardly anyone posts things I can eat but you did. I am a long long time carb counter so this appeals to me lots..

I'll have to see if they sell those wraps in my area or if I'll have to order them on line. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to give them a try.. looks soooooooooo yummy.

    thanks again

  12. I make something similar, Marty...but I add a few extra calories I am afraid. I add a few cashews and a few cranraisins and a few sliced grapes. Now that I saw it here- I think I need to make it again. Your recipe is healthier than my own! xo Diana

  13. Thank you Marty for this awesome recipe! I lost lots of weight in 6 months, that is 22 lbs. and I'm always looking for something new to add to my low calorie daily intake and this sounds yummy and perfect. I just got back home from almost a month taking care of my grands, so I probably missed a few of your terrific posts! Have a wonderful weekend.

  14. Marty, where do they carry that bread out here in AZ? This post just comes with good timing as I am also going back on the low carb diet to shed a few pounds. Thanks so much.

  15. Thanks! I'm also trying to do better about what I eat. :)

  16. Looks delicious. Makes me hungry!

  17. this looks healthy, good and delicous...and lo-cal too, what a treat.

  18. That does look good and filling too!
Thanks for sharing Marty, I need to look for that bread!
Trying to get a little caught up here after a week of family visiting~
    Big Hugs friend,

  19. I hope those things aren't regional because I would love to try them. I'll be on the lookout.

  20. I LOVE lavash bread, it is a recent find of mine too ... and that chicken salad looks so great. Now I need something to eat. :)

  21. I have never seen that bread before but will try to find some. This looks delicious.
I also didn't know about subtracting the fiber from the carbs. Hmmmm.

  22. My daughter told me about these wraps a few weeks ago and I found them last week. They are so good and filling. I've been putting some lowfat mozzarella cheese in mine and folding them over...then I grill them in a non-stick skillet, add a little salsa...yum!

  23. Marty -- I LOVE Lavish bread and the fact that they are so low in carbs is a bonus!! Your wraps look terrific.

  24. Marty,
I've never tried Lavish bread! This looks good, and healthy! I'll check this bread out next grocery trip! Thanks!

  25. That looks amazingly delicious! Will have to look for that bread. Thanks for sharing, Marty!
