A beautiful silver and crystal iced decanter.
I put it on the buffet next to the silver tray holding my recent decanter finds.
One pretty decanter lead to another and another and now I think I have a new collection.

ReplyDeleteOkay, let me try this again! This is a gorgeous piece! I can't believe you found one with the little insert! I have one of these that I bought at an antique store about 10 years ago but, it doesn't have the insert. I have looked for another one. Yours is the first one I have seen with the insert! Great find!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, I love it, I would have seen the insert and thought that made it newer, show what I know. Very lovely piece!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing find- and I have never seen anything like it before!
ReplyDeleteAnd it really complements your arrangement - perfect height, etc - looks fabulous, Marty!
Marty~
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your finds, you are a fabulous shopper! Too funny about the tag!
Very pretty tablescape. xo ~Liz
Marty,
ReplyDeleteAn amazing find!!! I agree it's NOT for coffee! It makes a striking addition to your gorgeous vignette!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Didn't they used to make things so nicely? It looks perfect there in your buffet.
ReplyDeleteYep, that is a great find...I would have grabbed that one too....gorgeous! love that you can put the ice separate so it won't water down the drink...that is brillant!
ReplyDeleteSo funny, Marty. When I saw the thumbnail, I thought of you. I have a post coming up that also made me think of you. BTW, I've never seen a decanter like that.
ReplyDeleteMarty you find the best stuff!!!! My Mother had one of these xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful collection you have now Marty :o)

That is beautiful. I have something very similar that was my grandmother's. I haven't figured out a way to display it...but you have inspired me with your vignette. I'm going to try some things with it when I get home. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely piece. I've never seen one like this, but I would have wanted it too! It looks great on your other pieces!
ReplyDeleteMarty - that's the perfect "find"!!

What a find! I love the decanter, and what a great price. I love A Second Look and have about 3 carloads of stuff to take there since we just moved. I always peruse the store when I drop things off.
ReplyDeleteLove the decanter what a find!1 It looks lovely to the others on the tray. It does seem that decanters are the 'order of the day' for you!! Joan
ReplyDeleteDear Marty, Beautiful purchase you made!!! I have a similar piece I bought awhile back for the very same reason you bought yours......it's crystal with some metal and sooooooo purdeeeee i squealed with delight when i got home with mine.
ReplyDeleteGod richly bless you,

What an awesome find, Marty, and it goes so well on the buffet along with your other recent treasures. That window makes the perfect spot to showcase silver and crystal because of the light coming through. And well worth the money because it so rare you see these. Judy
ReplyDeleteI like your decanter, but I LOVE that martini glass. Do tell. Where did you find that one? Best, Ron
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful piece to add to your collection! I love when a piece has that ice insert!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find Marty! It looks beautiful with the rest of your collection!
ReplyDeleteVanessa

What a beautiful collection. I was told once by a antique dealer, if you have three of something it is a collection..with that statement it is easy to collect what we love. Nice collection Marty...
ReplyDeleteThat is fantastic! better fill it up with Martinis! You're glass is ready!
ReplyDeleteThe insert is usually missing with these. Nice find, and it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour silver and crystal decanter is so beautiful, Marty. Your grouping of decanters on the silver tray are lovely as well.

That is gorgeous Marty, I've never seen one like it before and it looks so pretty with the ones you already have!
ReplyDeleteHi Marty, we used to have one just like yours in the 70's. I loved it. Sadly it broke because the pourer got separated from the crystal. It was a beautiful pitcher though. Enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat find Marty! I love the way you displayed it too.
ReplyDeleteGreat cloches below as well, you have such a flair for it!
Sorry I missed the party, I have been babysitting about 24/7 lately and I am pooped from chasing a very active toddler around.
We are still really hot here too...about 100 today with the heat index.
I might as well be in Phoenix!! hehe.
Looking forward to getting back out there, I need to start looking for plane tickets.
Hugs friend,
Cindy

ReplyDeleteI love your crystal collection. Grouping them together on dark wood adds a warm and elegant touch.
ReplyDeleteYou really lucked up. Crystal is wonderful and I am like you I can get weak in the knees with added silver. You will find many uses for the decanter. Love it. I have come from Patti's party, drop by for a visit. Kathy
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! You really luck up on the coolest finds...
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful find Marty. I love crystal and cut glass too.

ReplyDeleteI found the same danter but you got a better deal :) I am hosting a Giveaway to win a 50 dollar gift card to the store HomeGoods. It would be great if you stopped by and entered. Thanks Anu
ReplyDeleteSo glad I came across this. Sam and I purchased one of these about a year ago, at an antique shop. Price was good and Sam thought it was a neat piece. We had no clue as to what it was, and the dealer did not know either. Now we do!! Ours looks almost exactly like yours..
