This one is sort of semi-formal. A small setting for 4 and with casual placesettings that are placed on a lace tablecloth to give it a little elegance.

This one is really formal and a little over the top, but if you want to impress, this centerpiece will definitely do that. The nice thing about this centerpiece is the bowl that holds it can be removed right before everyone sits down and another bowl with floating candles or fruit could be put in it's place and create just as fabulous a look, plus your guests will be able to see each other across the table. Tons of candles, pillars and tapers gives the table tons of ambiance.

This could be an intimate formal table for 4. Silver, lace and roses are always stunning. 1/2 Dozen roses can look fabulous in a cylinder vase. Adding silver and a lot of candles to the setting creates even more formality.

Black, white and silver makes you think Black Tie. I love all the sparkle. Even everyday dishes look amazing with lace, crystal and silver.

If you really want to go casual, this centerpiece is definitely a winner. Love it. A hurricane with some Dollare Tree potpourri, stems and berry garland.

So are you thinking about the holidays yet and are you making plans.

Seriously gorgeous! Marty, you sure know how to set a beautiful table. Thank you for sharing. I hope you will share this at my Make it Pretty Monday party at The Dedicated House which goes live at 8am CST on Monday. http://thededicatedhouse.blogspot.com Hope to see you at the bash! Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
ReplyDeleteMarty they all look amazing and have inspired thoughts of the coming holidays. A very formal table can be gorgeous but it is unrealistic for me so I prefer casual elegance. And that centerpiece is gorgeous but the problem with those high arrangements is that you end up removing them to "pass the potatoes" or trying to converse with everyone at the table. They look grandiose but I prefer a low and long decoration. Great post!
