Great fabrics with a mix of chocolate brown, camel, gold and just a touch of green and orange. (Yes, I found some napkins that almost match the sofa and use them for arm covers. Definitely helps a cream sofa stay cleaner.)
I think mixing all the patterns of the fabrics is much more interesting than just using plain fabrics.
A view from the kitchen island, these colors just make my heart sing. Some of my very favorite.
How about you, do you change pillows and mix fabrics for a different look too. I am working on the table vignettes and kitchen, will show you later.

Very pretty Marty! Love the colors. I just ordered some new pillow covers and can't wait to get them.
ReplyDeleteI am working on a more neutral sofa so I can change up the sofa and pillows too.
ReplyDeleteYour family room looks so warm and cozy! I change the pillows in my family room as well to "freshen" up the room. I make the pillow covers to fit the forms so I don't have a lot of pillows to store.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Donna
Beautiful Marty. We are having pillow issues. Our Chocolate Lab is cutting the last set of molars and sigh, is chewing pillows. So, we have had to remove, (toss) a couple of sets. So at present, we have NO pillows on the couch or the arm chairs. So sad.....
ReplyDeleteLuv yours. I agree... the colour combination is wonderful.
Hugs, Gee
Marty,

Thanks for sharing with us what a refreshing look can be achieved with switching out the accessories!!!

P.S. I spent the day on the lower level Living Room, also.
What a difference a day can make!!!
I just made two animal rpint pillows for the den, but I had enough material left to make two round ones like your pretty ones. Can you explain how you made them? Your colors are my favorites too! Thank you dear Marty. Big hugs,

Beautiful, rich color combination....so pretty in your family room!
ReplyDeleteI've been sitting here looking around my house to get inspiration for a spring/summer look soon. I have cream colored tables in our basement family room and have been using dark tables with our dark sofas. I was wondering if I could mix the light tables with my dark couches and since you have done it in reverse...I see how beautiful it looks. Mine are entirely different styles...so, I may try it and fail, but at least I know it is possible. Your room looks lovely, as always!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so pretty, Marty. You have such a knack for selecting pretty fabrics for your pillows, and it makes such a big difference in the room. laurie

ReplyDeleteHolly @ down to earth style
I am just all over neutrals these days. If anyone would have told me five years ago that I'd be embracing brown the way I am, I never would have believed it. I love your room. Yes! I use pillows frequently to change up the look of the room. I love that Pottery Barn sells pillow covers so that I can easily change a look without having to store a pile of pillows.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric choices! I am not usually a fan of brown but I love these!!
ReplyDeleteYour pillows and all of your mix of fabrics is so lovely, Marty. I'm on the hunt right now for fabric to make some new pillows and a few covers for some furniture in our family room. That simple thing makes such a huge impact.
ReplyDeleteHI MARTHY

Just lovely Marty. I love mixing patterns and textures. I am so focused on building my craft room and building storage into this old farmhouse, that I haven't spent much time decorating. In the meantime, I am enjoying yours :)
