I carried the same check into the breakfast area that I have in the living/dining rooms.

A check tablecloth and pillow in the living room.

And there's a check runner on the dining table too.
As you walk from one area to the next the eye remembers the check and even though this room does not have green as an accent, it still ties them together visually.

I am adding some checks to the family room too, but you'll have to wait to see that because there's a few more colors and patterns being added to the mix. I will show you when I get it all done. Here's a peak

ReplyDeleteMarty, your home is so lovely. Every time I get a glimpse of it, I feel like I want to come and visit. I love that you pointed out that your eye will remember details like the checkered pattern from room to room and that it makes them seem more cohesive. I also adore the pleats you added to the table runner, it gives it such a polished, chic and finished look.
ReplyDeleteI had noticed how great the runner was yesterday and I'm not disappointed now that I was able to see more of it.

It is a tablecloth that I cut up and make the pillows and runners out of. I found them online for $12.95 for a huge 60 x 110 size. Here is the web address

ReplyDeleteOh, someone asked about the picture over your table. My Mom had one that had a little plaque on the bottom. It said "Saying Grace". Not sure if that is official or not.
