End Of Season Sales

I can hardly believe that every store is totally stuffed with Christmas already, and I am still trying to think about Fall and Thanksgiving.  So I thought I better find what little is left and add to my collection.

Michaels is having some super sales, almost everything Fall is 70% off.

Love this fabulous burlap and string pumpkin.

Of course I can always use some ribbon and Chocolate is perfect for what I'm working with.

These flowers are really more of a rusty brown than the picture shows.

Glitzy pumpkins are always super and these are both gold and silver.

All of that for $10.42  Not bad

Of course there are usually a few treasures at Goodwill too.  My sweet new Frenchy Lady for $2.99

Now I just have to dig through the rest of my stash and come up with enough to create a centerpiece for Thanksgiving.

  1. Love the gold and silver pumpkins Marty, I really like the little burlap and string pumpkin too. I don't have any time to shop until next Friday. :(

  2. Pretty things! I have a Dr. Appt. tomorrow that isn't far from Michael's! Guess I'll have to stop by for some turkey day items. Love all your nice items. The little lady will look so cute in a Thanksgiving arrangement!

  3. Beautiful! Yes, Iove the burap pumpkin. I know that will be beautiful in your lovely home. Blessings!

  4. I love the chocolate ribbon and glitzy pumpkins. I remember going last year a week before Thanksgiving to a store to purchase some last minute crafts and there were none. Your post is a reminder to me to jump on this now!

  5. I'm with you, Marty - I am not thinking of Christmas at all! In fact, seeing the decor in stores and on blogs kind of makes my tummy turn a little. I'm still very much in fall mode and thinking of Thanksgiving. First things first! Thanks for the heads up on the Michaels fall decor being 70% off...I'll have to head up there!

  6. Marty, These are some beautiful things that could transition from now til Thanksgiving..
    Love, Mona

  7. Hi Marty, I'm just getting into the real fall-mode now too, but I was in Michael's yesterday and yikes--mostly Christmas now! I love your color combinations!

    Dee :)

  8. Great finds, Marty! I need to hit Michael's soon. Thanks for the tip! Have a super week!

  11. Great finds Marty!! LOVE that burlap and twig pumpkin...going to see if our Michael's has any!

  12. The clearance items call out to me every time I walk into Hobby Lobby, Marty! I am trying to resist though. : ) Love the things you found. I saw two figures at my Goodwill this past week that made me think of you. They weren't as nice looking as the one you found, but they had a French farm look to them.

  13. I'm not ready to see Christmas in the stores, either! I LOVE that first pumpkin!! :)

  14. Wonderful finds . . . you are such a great shopper. I love the burlap pumpkin and your Goodwill lady is delightful.
I know what you are saying about Christmas in the stores . . . hey, October isn't even over. What I don't like is how it goes from Halloween to Christmas. I say, "What about Thanksgiving?" It's my favorite holiday, good food, family and friends and no gifts except the gift of love :)
    Keep Smiling,
    Your blogging sister, Connie :)

  15. Those are some great finds, Marty! I didn't see anything worth taking home at Marshall's, Kirkland's or JoAnn's today -- Fall-wise! I may hit up Michael's & HL tomorrow. I really like the burlap and twine pumpkin!

  16. You found some great things, Marty. I can't believe how quickly stores start dumping all their Fall stuff. It seems that way with every Holiday. I need some lights this year and suppose I should get them before they are gone- xo Diana

  17. Marty,
Love all your finds. Everything looks so pretty. Hope you come by to see all the lovely comments left on your Spotlight feature from Saturday. Everyone is loving getting to know you better.

  18. Hello Marty, I came to your blog via Kris, Junk Chic Cottage. I was reading your post with a smile....we have a lot in common! I too, was a single parent for years and I worked 30 yrs in a family mfg. wood business! God sent me my BOAZ when I least expected! What a beautiful family you have!!! I think your home is quite the lovely....very beautiful and serene to me! I am your newest follower.....Blessings~~~Roxie

  19. What a stash! Love the gold pumpkins the most!

  20. Love those glitzy pumpkins! Awesome finds! xo Jen

  21. Marty: I was at Michaels this weekend myself and the aisle were jammed with Christmas everywhere! All I wanted was a little autumn ribbon, but everything was slim to none. Gave me some great inspiration for the holidays though!

  22. I hit Michaels this weekend and there was hardly anything left. Of course fall has been out since July or August. I found a cute turkey or two and two cornucopias. I still have November to think about before I can decorate for Christmas.

  23. I love the mixed metal pumpkins! I am really upset that we aren't able to really embrace November, and enjoy the fall some more before we are forced by commercials and store displays to skip ahead to xmas. no wonder Halloween has to hit stores in summer, b/c they want it out of there in no time to make room for winter holidays!

  24. Great finds! I love those pumpkins. Thanks for sharing at Silver Pennies Sundays. x
