This made me stop and think about how the Lord shines His Light on us and always leads us to the Light At The End Of The Tunnel.
Our family received one of the greatest Blessings from the Lord Friday morning. A precious baby boy was born at 8:12 AM weighing 5lbs 2 oz. and 18 inches long. He was 5 weeks early, but we are sure he arrived in God's perfect timing. A beautiful great-grandson named Bronx. He's in Intensive Care on a ventilator with a tear in his lung. We would appreciate your prayers as the Lord leads us through this. We have definitely been Blessed, but like so many others, we are looking for the Light at the End of the Tunnel.

ReplyDeleteMarty...I just want to tell you that I am praying for your new baby. He may look small and fragile but those tiny things bounce back faster than you can blink. My twin boys were born at 31 weeks - 9 weeks early. 3 lbs 7 oz and 4 lbs 2 oz. They will be 11 this week and those hard 6 weeks in the NICU, which at the time seemed like forever, now seem like such a short little time. All the wonderful, happy times over shadow those times of worry now. Bronx sure looks tough - I bet he looks big in the NICU with all the other minis. I hope his lung heals. xoxo
ReplyDeletePraying for this beautiful blessing in your life:)

ReplyDeleteWelcome sweet baby! You know Marty, we have a granddaughter who is now 7 years old, healthy, beautiful and strong. She was born at 29 weeks, and spent nearly 2 months in the hospital. She is our miracle and joy. Modern medicine is a beautiful blessing to us and now to you!
Stay positive- miracles happen every second of every day and your little great grandbaby is one of them!
Prayers are being sent your way-
Jemma
Marty, After reading your current post, I had to come back to read this. I am adding little Bronx and all of his family to my prayer list. Reading about this little one made my heart come to a stop, as the birth of our little grandson, Cooper, still feels fresh. Your great grandson and our grandson were born at a time when medical miracles are being performed every day, and with God's help, our Cooper is one of those miracles. I know Bronx will also be one of those miracles. Cooper was on oxygen for 4 months. He was on the ventilator almost 2 months. He will be a year old this week, and thank God, he is thriving. Drs. believe that his damaged lungs will fully heal as he gets older. I will be keeping all of you in my prayers. Please keep us updated. P.S. your sunlit photos are beautiful, and I love the way you likened it to a light at the end of the tunnel. laurie
ReplyDeleteHi Marty,
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear about your lil great grandson. So precious.......... but so sad to hear he was so early, but you are right, it is all in God's timing. I know this is a bittersweet time for all of you, and will sure be praying for this wee one and his parents and extended family. Such a difficult, yet blessed time. Am thankful he was born in such a time as this.......because the
Lord uses Drs. and nurses to preform His miracles...........Praying for complete healing and a quick hospital stay.
Loved your beautiful pics of light and the sentiments that went along with it. Romans 8:28 is a great verse to hang onto at
times like this.........
Thanksgiving Blessings, Nellie
