Since I changed the drapes in the living/dining areas, I feel like I have a whole new space. The room seems so full of light and sunshine, so time to add a touch of spring.
I love creating different arrangements on the coffee table. I didn't buy but a couple of new things, mostly just shopped the house.
I moved the gold leaf tray that was in the family room in here. I kept the ivy plant in the brass planter and added the brass hourglass. I found a new marble chipped orb at Hobby Lobby on my last shopping trip so I added it to the tray with another small one I already had.
People ask me all the time where I get my little brass stands. They are actually the ones most people use to hold their decorative or marble eggs and are available at most gift shops.
I love the various gold colors on the orb mixed with the chips of marble. Makes it really interesting.
Of course I think Tulips just scream spring. I know there are some real ones out this time of year, but I opted for faux. These are from the Dollar Tree and I am using 3 bunches for a really full bouquet. I put them in a gorgeous crystal vase that I found at Goodwill last year.
The whole arrangement is placed on a scrunched white silk scarf.
With temps in the 80's, I think Spring is definitely here. Are you starting to add a little spring too.

Your new vignette on the coffee table is just singing Spring....love it! Hugs, Penny
ReplyDeleteMarty,
ReplyDeleteLove the new vignette on your coffee table. You do so great with your vignettes. Those tulips look real. Very pretty. So jealous you are having 80 degrees. We are still cold and getting more snow in Chicago. Ughhh! Not sure if we will ever see Spring.
Kris
Absolutely gorgeous! I love how bright, cheerful and inviting your living room looks, Marty! You have added the prettiest spring accents...love the whites and greens mixed with gold tones:) I love your orb collection...you always create the most elegant and beautiful vignettes! Temps in the 80's sounds so wonderful, wish it was the same here.....but spring is just round the corner for us, so I am hopeful:) Hugs, Poppy

Marty, your table is really pretty. I love white tulips, and you could've fooled me - I thought those were real. Love that hourglass, too - I think that's the one you got from Joss & Main, isn't it, last Fall? So handsome! Great leading photo in this post.
ReplyDeleteMarty, your coffee table looks so pretty. Love how it welcomes Spring. The tulips are very pretty, the entire table looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Denise

Did you say 80's? Today was a good day. I only had to wear a sweater :).
ReplyDeleteThe tulips look beautiful and I never would have guessed they were fake. I have a similar orb but I got mine at Pottery Barn. I find them very versatile.

Beautiful! I love the new orb and agree re: the texture. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers and yes, they do signal spring. We had 82 on Mon, 89 yesterday and will be low 50's today. Typical Texas! :)

ReplyDeleteI agree that tulips scream Spring! Your coffee table looks fresh and cheerful for the upcoming season. Sounds like you're already there with temps in the 80's!
ReplyDeleteMarty, your coffee table vignette is so pretty! Love the tulips, as well! They definitely say, "Spring"!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and springy, Marty!
ReplyDelete80 degrees! I'm sitting here in my kitchen watching it snow because our University where I work closed at noon due to the snowstorm. The temp is slowly dropping and it's around 20 degrees right now. Spring! Hah! Well, like they always say in Western New York, "If you don't like the weather, just wait a few minutes it will change." Friday is supposed to be in the 40s.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and love your table setting! Send some warm temps this way!
MJ
Marty,
ReplyDeleteGorgeous vignette!!!

Spring is being a "tease" here on the Prairie!!!

ReplyDeleteWell our temps got up in the 50's on Tuesday and we thought it was a heat wave! It's back down in the teens again, but at least we didn't get the snow that so many south of us did. Your living room is definitely taking on a spring look! Love those orbs and big bunch of tulips. I guess I better get my spring on, even though it is still freezing cold outside! Thank you for sharing at What We Accomplished Wednesdays. Have a lovely week! ~Deborah
ReplyDeleteYour tulips are beautiful - what a splendid choice. {I just bought some today, too. Tulips are synonymous with Spring, no?} I also really like that hourglass. This whole look is pulled together so well, Marty. XOXO
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful and happy Spring table Marty...and love seeing the beautiful backgrounds!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Marty. The muted colors look wonderful in your "new" living room. Thank you for linking up to the Swing Into Spring party.
