I am still working on my LR makeover. My installer that I want to use to do the hardwood floors and new baseboards has postponed me for about 3 more weeks. He is so worth waiting for, so I am biting the bullet and waiting. His workmanship is sheer perfection and his price is very reasonable, so I am on the waiting game.
While I am waiting, I am still dreaming up more ideas for my design. I have decided that I would like a little more animal print.

. Here is my original Inspiration Board.
I still love everything except the ottoman. That didn't work out (you can see the epic fail here).
I found the beige velvet giraff print and the velvet leopard print at my favorite fabric store, Fabric Depot. I think they will be a great new addition to my pillow mix.
TIP: - - - I always buy 1/2 yard of fabric and since almost all decor fabric is 54" wide, I cut it into three 18x18 pieces. That way I can make two pillows. One will have my fabric on both sides, and one will have a coordinating fabric on the back.
For the coordinating fabric, I like to pick something really fun. The velvet leopard is going to go really well with this black and metallic cotton print. The cording will also be in the black/metallic print. Won't this be fun?
The velvet giraff is going to be backed with some fabulous gold metallic. I will do the cording on one pillow in the giraff fabric and one will have the cording in metallic. How fun is that going to be?
Ok, now I am off to go buy a couple of zippers and some cording. Can't wait to get these all sewn up.
So how do you feel about animal prints. - you in or are you out?
Be sure to get all of your projects lined up for Inspire Me Tuesday. Party goes live this afternoon at 3 PM CMT. Can't wait to see you there.
I am joining the following parties:

Your pillows are going to look so pretty when done, Marty. I am a tiny bit of animal print person. I have had it in my home on the top of a footstool or one pillow thrown into the mix before.
