Bar carts are all the rage right now. I have absolutely no room for another piece of furniture, however I do have a fabulous wine cabinet that I could repurpose.
I've had this wonderful wine cabinet for ages. With no where to put it, it has been in the laundry room. Time to pull it out and dress it up a little.
This is what the breakfast area looked like before I started this makeover. See that pedestal and plant in the corner. Do you know how outdated that is. I think sometimes we get so use to seeing something that we really don't "see" it anymore. Time for that to go.
Of course, I think this gold dot drink dispenser is the neatest thing ever. So perfect for Champagne Punch or how about some fabulous Sangria.
It's nice to have this out where we can enjoy it and so much better than that pedestal and plant. Added bonus is I have more room in the laundry too.
Ok, now to finish up this room and get this house back together.
How about you, are you into the "bar" thing?
You can still link up to Inspire Me. So much to see so check a few things out.
I am joining the following parties.
Looks great! I so agree with you that you can get so used to something in your house that you don't realize how outdated it is! Really love the drink dispenser! Thanks for sharing such a cute change :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea.
ReplyDeleteLooks great Marty!
ReplyDeleteLove the gold dot drink dispenser, it goes wonderfully with the bar top vignette! Hugs, Poppy

ReplyDeleteVery clever and pretty Marty. I have to agree with some of the bloggers above I love that gold dot drink dispenser too. Looks great.

Very pretty Marty. And my favorite is the dotted beverage dispenser. I love gold touches too! I am like you...sometimes we get so used to having something in a room that we forget to see it. I try to punch myself to view my home critically from time to time. If you see anything I need to pull out...please let me know. You have an excellent design "eye."

Well done, Marty- it looks fabulous! Don't you just love shopping the house and making changes that didn't cost? "Cept for the delish wine, but, well, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, right?
ReplyDeleteLove it!! Classy and festive. XOXO
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a win-win moving your wine cabinet into this area, Marty. I love how you decorated the top. Mine does not look so pretty because with just the two of us we never seem to be able to finish a bottle of wine when we open one, so I have a few on top that were resealed. I'd love to try those chocolate ones you've shown.
ReplyDeleteLove it Marty!....Turning my tea cart into a bar cart and love the way you styled yours, complete with the bowl for the corks!! Looking forward to the makeover!
ReplyDeleteI'll be over at 5! :)
ReplyDeleteMarty, your home just keeps getting classier and classier!

It is gorgeous! I agree about the outdated furniture and accessories. I should take a better look around my home. I am sure I could find a lot. I can't believe this was in the laundry room. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe gold dot beverage is beautiful and ties into your other gold decor you have been adding. I've always loved a bar cart - it seems so sophisticated! Such a pretty, fresh alternative to your pedestal. Jane
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Marty! I love it.

This looks so beautiful, Marty! I love how you used what you have. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I've noticed that carts for wine of favorite beverages are showing up often. I don't happen to have one, but that doesn't mean I can get to the cabinet or wine cooler pretty easy!! Yours turned out great.
ReplyDeleteI know that it's really cold here and some of that wine would warm us up! :) This looks wonderful, Marty! :)
ReplyDeleteO, DEAR...I have a tiny white wooden plant stand in my dining room with a plant on it....I've just been strutting my stuff, thinking it was sooo neat...OK...I'd better replace it with a wicker tea cart that will add to my wine display. Thank you for telling me, Marty...:)

I have the same plant stand! ;(. My husband found it at a yard sale a few months back. We live in a small condo and I have no floor room for it. But I am open to new ideas. Let me know what you do with yours...
