Dining Room Makeover & Inspiration Pics

Sherry from No Minimalist Here is such a special friend and has one of my favorite blogs, so when she agreed to do a guest post for me while I am away, I jumped for joy.  She is in the process or doing a few makeovers in her home.  Her dining room is the current project.  Thanks Sherry for sharing some of your inspiration with us.

My name is Sherry and I write the blog No Minimalist Here.   I'll be guest hosting here at A Stroll Thru Life while Marty is enjoying time with her family.

If you follow my blog then you already know we are in the process of renovating our home.  The biggest change so far has been taking down a wall and converting a home office into a new dining room.  You can see the changes we have made so far here.

Once the painting and adding board and batten is done the fun part begins.  I have been pinning lots of dining room pictures for inspiration and want to share these with you.

I do know I want the space to be casual and comfortable for my family and friends and it must have a touch of French style.

Do you have a favorite dining room from the ones above?

I would love to have you visit me at No Minimalist Here and follow along as I attempt to decorate our new space.

Marty,  thanks so much for having me guest post at your fabulous blog today.  Enjoy your trip!

Wow, that is a lot of gorgeous inspiration.  I can't wait to see what she does and how she decides to decorate her new dining room.  Be sure to go over and click that follow button so you can see how this room progresses.  She is so creative and chic, you won't want to miss a single post.
Thanks so much Sherry, you are the best.

  5. Oh they are all so lovely but I think the one that grabbed me the fastest is the second dining room! So cozy and I love the window treatments! I can't wait to see Sherry's finshed room, I am sure it will be a knockout!!

  6. Oh I am SO excited with the direction you are going with for your dining room. I can't wait to see your progress.

Miss Marty thank you so very much for your input on painting my front door. Alas, rain is predicted through Tuesday but it WILL eventually be done!
    Have a lovely weekend!

  7. It will be gorgeous for sure! :)

  8. Those are all gorgeous dining rooms! It's hard to pick a favorite. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with yours.

  9. I am so envious as I have been wanting a dining space for such a long time but it means extending onto our house or loosing a bedroom and we only have three bedrooms and the third I am using as an office. I absolutely love that Verandah picture, it looks very much like a house that I am going to photograph on Friday. I am so excited, it is very Mediterranean, in fact you would never believe you are in NZ walking through the gates. I hope to feature it on my blog so praying for sunshine to take good photos.

I love the fact you are adding panelling to the walls, it will add so much more character and I cannot wait to see it completed.

  10. So glad that you guys linked this up to the Pretty Preppy Party--lots of great inspiration here!!

  11. Great inspiration pics! Thanks for joining HSH!
