Christmas On The Porch

I love to change things up on our porch for the seasons and Christmas is a favorite.

Nothing elaborate, just a simple garland and swag for the door.  I used a mix of balls from the Dollar Tree and a swag I found on a trip to AtHome.

Just enough room for two rockers and a stool to hold a drink.  This is the pefect place to sit and visit with the neighbors.

I'm still trying to get the tree up, can you believe it?  I have company and things are just moving slowly on the decorating front.  However my back yard is getting a complete makeover, just wait until you see it.

Don't forget about our fabulous 2015 Christmas Home Tours that start Monday the 7th and run thru the 11th.  30 beautiful homes over 5 days.  You don't want to miss a single home.

Since I am suppossed to start the tours off on Monday, I better get my tree up or just forget it all together. haha

  1. You better get moving on that tree. ;) Your porch looks so pretty! We have a tiny front porch as well, with just two rockers and a little table (and a few plants). I love your landscaping and architecture!

  2. Your porch looks so pretty. I'd love to sit there and have a drink with you!

  3. Your front porch looks very festive! Love the plaid throw.

  4. Marty, your porch has brought back so many memories for me. When my father retired, they moved to the Phoenix area and I can't begin to tell you how much time I spent visiting them throughout the various seasons, including Christmas, and even in the summer. I really miss not going there anymore. Anyways, your porch is lovely, and yes, get going on your tree now! Nothing like a little pressure to get the job done!

  5. Can't wait to see what's planned for your back yard! Your porch is perfect. The perfect size for two people and chatting with neighbors.

  6. HI Marty! Your porch looks so festive! I'm sure it's lovely at nighttime. Get that tree up, you know we all want to see it! :) Take care.
    Be a sweetie,

  9. I like your front porch- I bet it's cute at night with the lights on the pillars. Now you've got my curiosity raised about your back yard :-) . I'm still decorating though closing in on the finish. Just got the tree done yesterday! I'm enjoying taking my time. Hope you're enjoying your time with the visitors!

  10. Una decoración sencilla pero linda, su patio de enfrente debe verse maravilloso en la noche al encender las bombillitas. Saludos desde Costa Rica.. Ah y esperaré los cambios en el patio de atrás.

  11. Love the porch, its enchanting at night. fondly ~lynne~

  12. Marty your porch looks great! We haven't even begun to decorate the inside of our house as we are still knee deep in the kitchen makeover...there is dust flying all over the place here, but we are hoping to wrap things up next week and I will be able to get the tree out of storage! I can't wait for all the decorating inspiration next week!
