Starting To Think Fall

The weather is still beastly hot here, but my heart and mind are really thinking fall and cooler temps.  Seems like all the stores are already into Fall, Halloween and some are even into Christmas already.  That's rushing things just a little bit too much for me, but a few simple fall touches are something I am thinking about.

Our entrance console table is always a place that is fun to change up.  It's on the wall as you walk in the door, so I like for it to reflect the living/dining area decor too.  I have been thinking about changing up some of the accessories in these areas too, but I thought I would start with the console table first.

Maybe a little "ode" to back to school and fall.

For the summer I had an all white display that really tied in with the all white living/dining decor that I used.

Time for something a little more casual and to reflect the beginning of autumn and back to school.

A couple of books, a brass quill pen, magnifying glass and I am ready to learn about new and exciting adventures.

The Thinker stayed because he reminds me to always "Think".

Simple changes to usher in the seasonal change.

  1. Just beautiful, Marty. I always love your vignettes and the way you style your tables. Can you tell me where to find the type of art you have above your console table? That's really something to treasure and all my furniture is very traditional.

  2. So nice Marty. I love your back to school and fall vignette. That art picture is beautiful.
    Happy Weekend.

  3. MARTY,
When school begins each year, my mind thinks, "Fall." That may come from starting school after Labor Day in a cooler area than in Texas. Regardless, I still think, "Fall," when school begins, even in early August.

    Lovely entry table.

  4. Love all of these ideas! Great cloche display. Looking forward to next week's tour!
