Guest Bedroom Christmas

We have a really small Guest Bedroom that has been furnished with left-overs, Thrifty Store finds and a ton of DIY.  This entire room is put together for $195.44.  You can see all the many projects here.   It's still nothing fancy, but it is a comfortable place for our guests so I thought it needed a tiny bit of Christmas Decor.

I love the gray and pink color scheme.  The bed is dressed with a pretty gray quilt and a fabulous black and white toile comforter that I found at Goodwill years ago.   The gray painted nightstand was previously in the family room.  The colors work perfect in here.

It's topped with a 99c Store Silver Tree and Reindeer.

There's a basket on the shelf of the nightstand that holds an extra pillow and a lightweight throw if my guests get a little chilly.

My Blessed pillow in gray and white is perfect for this room.

The headboard is a wonderful $29.50 find from Hotel Liquidators.  You can see how I refinished and re-upholstered it here

There's a small thrifted dresser, mirror and another chair at the foot of the bed. I added a very old rag doll to the chair and a tiny Teddy and Tree to the dresser.

All set for guests to arrive.  Small can still be chic and comfortable even if it is put together on a dime.

Now to add a little Christmas to the Master Bedroom too.  Do you add Christmas to your bedrooms?

Don't forget my Christmas Giveaway.  A beautiful new Pfister Faucet.
The Jaida is a style that will be perfect for your Contemporary or Farmhouse decor.  I love the trough style spout.  You can view all the details about this beautiful collection at Pfister.
They have graciously offered to do a give-away to two of my readers.
#1 will be the Widespread Set.  This set is available in Tuscan Bronze, Brushed Nickel or Polished Chrome.
#2 will be the Tub & Shower Set.  It is also available in all three  finishes.

To stay up to date on all the makeovers taking place at our new home, I would love to have you follow me.  You don't want to miss any of our "Hits & Misses".

  1. I would really enjoy winning either of the faucets, I really enjoy your blog and am in the process of visiting all of the 2017 Christmas homes.

  2. The giveaway if fabulous Marty they make the best faucets. Your guest room looks so cozy and inviting. What time should I show up for my stay?!!!! I would like a nice floatie for the pool too!!!!

  3. Nice guest room. I too have a small guest room and it works well. I decided on twin beds for this guest room as often people visiting or traveling together aren't a couple but are fine with sharing a room for a couple of days. And my headboards have a high profile like yours. My dilemma is deciding what to place on the wall above each. The wall looks bare but I'm struggling with size/scale and then what to do about the space above the small table between the beds. Do you have plans for something above your headboard? Thanks.

  4. It looks great, Marty...just the perfect amount of Christmas in the room. I can't wait until we get out of this rental and into a new (to us) home next summer. sigh. Not much Christmas decorating going on here. xo Diana

  5. Beautiful, Marty! I love the toile...why can't I find things like that at Goodwill? Such a pretty room!
