Green For Spring

Green has been around for a while, but I am really seeing tons of green in the stores at the moment.  Maybe it is because of St. Patrick's Day or maybe just Spring.  At any rate it is always such a fun and exciting color to use.

Sometimes you find a post that just really catches your eye. This post from Salvaged Inspirations popped up online again and I thought maybe I might get brave and paint a piece of furniture green.  I love all of her examples.

You really need to go see them all, but there were a couple that I thought I could live with and love.

I love this piece and could totally see it in a dining room or as the perfect accent piece in a bedroom.

This deep green is one of my favorite colors, so I would definitely use this.

Painting the base of a table in this fresh green would be fabulous in any kitchen or sun room.

This would be a gorgeous nightstand in a guest bedroom to add some color and character.

Now this is a statement piece if I ever saw one.

Check back on Monday to see how I am using some Green in my living room.

So how about you, could you live with a piece of furniture painted green?

  1. Deep green all the way! I love this color on furniture, but just when used strategically and sparingly. One thing is for sure, I'd definitely style one or a few of these furniture pieces in my home to bring in the spring vibe because it's so much needed these days.

  2. This is so funny, Marty. I have been thinking of GREEN in my home (new one when we find one) amd decided I need to drop any trends and go back to a color I love---and that color is green. I like the softer greens and the deep greens, too, but not the bright emerald greens. I find that green soothes me and makes me feel 'rested and happy'.

Can't wait to see what you do in your own home. I didn't realize green was trending again. lol

  3. Hi Marty,
You know me I stick with my neutrals but I love to put green in my decor in little amounts especially in the summer months. I cannot wait to see how you add green to your living room.

  4. I love green! Especially grass green or kelly green, some mints, but the brights are gorgeous. My favorite pieces here are the french provincial nightstand and the cane-backed chair! Love that second dresser with the brass pulls, too.

  5. Oh, so many gorgeous green pieces! I've only painted one little table green, but you're giving me plenty of ideas to use green again in my next project. 💚💚
