Maui

I think it is time to plan another fun vacation.  A few years ago we took a wonderful trip to Maui.  This was a fabulous gift from our children.  We had so much fun.  I think it is time we plan another fun trip somewhere.

The resort we stayed in was beautiful.  The grounds were amazing.

As soon as we put our luggage in our unit, we were out being tourists.

The minute you get there you just have to go wade in the ocean.  It is so clear, blue and warm.  Perfect.

There were several pools, this was the one designated for children.  What a fun boat.

You can't even imagine the beautiful flowers and foliage in Hawaii.  It is all breathtaking.

We got up every morning and got in our rental car and explored every inch of the island.  Hubby always had to stop and really pay attention to the flowers and landscaping everywhere we went.  So beautiful.

If you are in Hawaii you have to take in a Luau.  We had so much fun and this was such a fun treat.

So many areas to explore.  This was quite the climb, but so worth it when we got to the top.

Let's see, I've been to Germany, Switzerland, Bahamas and Hawaii and all over Canada, the South, Midwest and West Coast.  Not sure I want to visit anywhere abroad.  Maybe plan a trip to the East Coast and just enjoy the good ole' USA.

How about you, where would you like to travel?

  1. We have decided that there is so much right here in the US that we haven't seen that our future traveling will remain right here. I think we will plan a trip to the East Coast in early fall, so perhaps we can share notes. Our son and DIL escaped the Northern Indiana Polar Vortex in January for a week in Maui. It was rainy and too cool to even get in the water but they loved it.

  2. Hi Marty,
You have been to some beautiful places. We went to Hawaii a few years back and loved it. It was 85 everyday and sunshine. It was truly paradise. We hope to go back someday soon too.
    Hugs,
    Kris

  3. Maybe check out Canada! I watched a video recently of a family that does RVing year round, and they went to Lake Louise in Banff, Canada. WOW, is it gorgeous. Quite expensive to stay in the hotel there, but maybe you could look into other options as far as housing. I want to go!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ED9HQdTRyAc

  4. How blessed you have been to have been so many wonderful places. I've been to England, and Scotland is on my bucket list. Every year we go vacation in historic Wilmington, NC and it just may end up as our retirement town.

Loved these photos, thanks for sharing!

  5. Marty --- looks wonderful! Two years ago a college roommate who I frequently travel with did a "Canadian Cruise". Many lines offer that type of cruise now and you would absolutely love it! It is normally offered in the fall because of the colors and frequently starts in NYC and ends in Montreal. It goes around the east coast and hits all the historic towns and then up thru the St. Lawrence river in Canada. Quebec is fabulous. I highly recommend booking a trip! You won't be disappointed! 6. Marty, We were in Maui 18 months ago as part of a 2~week trip to 3 islands for our 20th anniversary. It was so beautiful. A trip to remember. Last fall we went on a Danube river cruise from Budapest to Prague. Another amazing trip. We love to travel. Been to Europe several times and hope to go back. The most exotic trip was to Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Bali. Fascinating, but don't think we will do that again. Thanks for sharing you trip.

  9. Marty, We were in Hawaii a year ago, leaving on a cruise ship from San Francisco. We loved it and I would love to go back to Maui again. Our next trip will be WDW later this year. It's a long story, but we have almost $1500 worth of passes and a Disney gift card that we need to use before we get too old, LOL! We saved over $1000 for our room reservation at WDW, which I'll write about after we return. I LOVE to travel!
