A Fresh Spring Table For The Kitchen

I love having an eat-in kitchen, that seems to be the place that the family gathers most of the time.  To me it's important to have a pretty table setting, however I don't want it to be something we have to remove to have dinner.  I always try to arrange a pretty center piece that is pretty but low enough that we can still see each other.  I love it when the table is full of family and everyone is all talking at the same time.

I've created a centerpiece and setting for Mother's Day.  We will have a large crowd so I will also use the Dining Room, but the breakfast table is where most of the grands will sit, so it has to be pretty too.

The table is set for 6, however if we have extras I can seat two on each end so it will accommodate 8 easily.  I love having a table that is versatile.

I've used my favorite two table runners, gold chargers and simple gray and white napkins.  The stemless wine glasses will work for wine or any other beverage.

 I kept the centerpiece simple.

Two beautiful finials and a pretty bouquet.

The light in this space is always wonderful and there is a great view of the backyard and pool too.

The Dining room table has been set with a special table to honor the Mother's in my life.  I think my Daughter and Daughter-in-loves will enjoy it.

Are you hosting Mother's day?  I love being able to honor all the Mother's in my life.

  1. Both tablesettings are lovely and inviting. I will not be hosting for Mother's Day as both our children and their families live in other states. I will however be spending the day with my middle sister and we will be eating left-overs from the weekend gatherings with her family. Have a most enjoyable Mother's Day with your bunch.
