2021 Fall Home Tour – Part #2

Welcome to my 2021 Fall Home Tour – Part #2 – Family Room and Kitchen.

If you missed my 2021 Fall Home Tour Part #1, you can catch up here to see my Living Room and Dining Room.  It’s always fun to invite you into my home, so check out my Part #1 tour and say hi when you do.

I love that the back of our house is all one open space that has our Family Room, Kitchen and Breakfast Room.  This is truly the open floor plan space in our home.  This is also where we spend 90% of our time and where our family and guests like to hang out too.

When you enter you see the family room on the right.  This space has been changed about a million times.  It’s not a large area, so trying to get the furniture arrangement just right and max out the seating has been trial and error.  I finally love the arrangement that we have and it works well for all the family.

My wonderful horse painting is the main focal point in the room.  I love that painting.  The sofa is centered on that one wall and is where I always have fun swapping out pillows and throw blankets.  For this fall season, I love yellow with accents of gray.  These colors are pulled right out of the painting and look so happy to me.  I love the pretty black and white throw blanket that I found to put on the back of one of the recliners.  It was a super find at Home Good in the markdown aisle for $10.

The Blessed pillow is one I’ve had for several years.  It is perfect for my time in life (a new grandson born Sept. 12th) and for the season.  I kept the coffee table really simple.  A pretty bouquet of yellow flowers seemed like enough.

This side of the room didn’t change, my plants are growing like weeds and I still love the TV Console, so not much else is needed.

Across from the Family Room are the Kitchen and Breakfast Room.  I kept the kitchen really simple for every day.  I always seem to cook a lot and I have also been baking more, so keeping things clean and uncluttered makes it so easy to clean up.

A small bouquet with berries and a pear are my simple Fall touches.

My cutting boards, mixer and oil tray are always here.  I think they keep this corner decorated really well.

I did create a small fall fruit vignette on the island.  Nothing overboard, just some faux fruit and a plant.

For a small kitchen, I think less is more.

Next to the kitchen is the Breakfast room area.

My farmhouse table is usually set with a simple setting for each season.  This year I tweaked a centerpiece that I already had just a bit and added some fresh yellow napkins to the place settings.

I added some of the matching yellow flowers I have in the family room to this bouquet to tie the two spaces together.

The mercury glass gourds and pumpkin add some glitz and texture without being over the top.

That winds up my 2021 Fall Home Tour – Part #2 for this year.  Thanks so much for stopping by, I love company and you are all the best.

Hi Marty! Oh, your family room is so beautiful and I really like how you’ve arranged your furniture and the fall things on your pretty coffee table! I remember when you remade your kitchen. It looks awesome and again, you’ve decorated it just right! The breakfast room is so lovely with your tablescape. Hope you’re week is going well.
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia
