Memorial Day Front Porch

I love to try and change out the front porch for the seasons and the Holidays.  So naturally, I wanted to create a Memorial Day Front Porch.  I like to use a hanging basket instead of a wreath, so keeping what I had going, but adding a few Flags and USA, totally changed things up.  I am thrilled to be joining some of my friends for May Pinterest Challenge.

Every Month Cindy from Country Road 407 finds an inspiration picture for us to translate into our own style and decor.  This month she liked this flag picture that she found at Edith & Evelyn Vintage. com.  We could create anything we wanted to, so I chose to add some Americana Spirit to my front porch.

If you have seen a picture of the front of my house, you know I don’t really have a front porch, just more of a stoop.

No room for furniture or a lot of accessories.  So I keep it simple.  I added a few flags, some red blooms, and a USA plaque that I found at the Dollar Tree.

There are always so many decor items to check out for each season at any of the $1 stores.  That makes it easy and inexpensive to change things up.

This looks patriotic from the street and says welcome when you come up to the door.

If you came over from Lora Bloomquist @ Create & Ponder, welcome.  I loved her tablescape and I know you will too.   Then make sure to check out Decor To Adore, Laura always has such unique ideas to share.

Marty, I love that you’ve just added a couple of simple patriotic touches to your front door basket. Perfectly perfect and for just a few dollars… I often forget about the Dollar Stores and the great things they have for less, thank you! Your front porch looks lovely!!!

Happy late spring/early summer and Memorial Day to you,
    Barb 🙂
