Pumpkins & Wheat – August Pinterest Challenge.  The end of August means fall is just around the corner.  Soon we will see all kinds of pretty pumpkins, wheat stalks, and gorgeous fall leaves.  I love this time of year, so it’s always fun to add some of these pretty things to my home decor.

Today I am joining a group of friends for August Pinterest Challenge.

Each month we are given an inspiration photo from our hostess Cindy @ Country Road 407 .  We are given the challenge of doing our version of recreating a similar vignette.  Today we have a beautiful basket filled with pumpkins and wheat.  I love this, it just seems to speak “Fall” to me.   This pretty vignette was created by Janelle Trinette.

I think it is always fun to recycle a tablescape.  I had this pretty centerpiece for most of July, so time for a change.  You can see the entire post of this pretty table here.

I just switched out a new basket arrangement and now it really speaks to Fall.

Our inspiration photo used a pretty basket, pumpkins, and wheat to create their vignette.  They used a door as their backdrop, I decided to use my version as a table centerpiece.

This was so easy to do.  I found a basket in my stash that I thought would work.  Then I started to round up a few pumpkins I had and decided to add some antlers too.  I took a napkin to line the bottom of the basket ( just like the inspiration pic ) then I started to fill it with some of my favorite pumpkins.  The inspiration pic used some log slices and let a few pumpkins spill out onto them.  I let a few spill out onto my table runner too.  A bundle of wheat finished off my centerpiece.
