Hiding Wires and Styling Tabletops

Hiding Wires and Styling Tabletops.  I love to have my bedroom look pretty, but sometimes trying to figure out how to style the top of my bedroom dresser is a problem.  I can either get it too cluttered or it is left empty.  When we moved in, we were in a hurry to get things put together.  We love having a TV in our bedroom, but we didn’t take the time at first to run the wire and cable through the wall.  We just put up the wall bracket and hung the TV.  Now the problem is I have a wire showing down the wall.  (I still haven’t taken it down and run the wires through the wall, so my problem is how to camouflage the wire and still make the tabletop look pretty.)

The cable box needs to hide too.   They make all kinds of wire covers, so I found a white one and covered up the cords running down from the back of the TV.

That helped, but how do I cover the white cord now?  I’ve finally figured out a few things that work really well.  As you can see from the first picture,  using something tall and wide enough to hide the cord works and still doesn’t cover the TV.  Books hide the cable box and an ivy plant finished off the top and it still leaves room for a tray on the dresser to hold keys and jewelry at night.

Here’s another idea that works well too.  A pretty bouquet of flowers and a picture to hide the cable box.

More flowers and pretty storage boxes.

Since the cord cover is white, these pretty vases camouflage it pretty well too.

Christmas is easy, there are so many fun santas and trees that you can use.

So if you have wires to hide, just be a little creative and no one will even know they’re there.
