Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies With Vintage Cookie Cutters

One of the things my family always enjoys is our Sugar Cookies cut in the shapes they grew up with.  Simple Christmas Vintage Cookie Cutters.

Ingredients

  • Sugar Cookies
  • 1 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 cup flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  • Cream sugar and shortening.  Add eggs & beat.  Add dry ingredients & beat alternating with milk.  Roll out on floured board, cut into shapes.  Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 12 minutes at 375 degrees.  Sprinkle with sugar & let cool.  Store in zip lock bags.  These freeze really well too.
