Goodwill Shopping ~ Show and Tell Friday

Thanks to Kelli @ http://kellishouse.blogspot.com for hosting this Show and Tell Friday. Please be sure and visit her to see all the other participants and their show and tell posts.

My new favorite place to shop is Goodwill. I have had such fun finding great things to decorate with and wonderful dishes to add to my collection. This past week I've made several trips to the two that are near me and picked up more treasures, so I thought I'd share my latest finds.

On a previous post I showed you all the white dishes that I found, and now I've been on the search for accessories and serving pieces to go with them. I love these pretty candlesticks and the colors and flowers just looked so like spring. (Sorry, I just noticed one of the candles was crooked.)

The tea set went so well with the candlesticks and had the same pretty colors and flowers. The teapot was $2 and the cups were $1 each. So pretty for an afternoon tea on the patio.

The little bunny would be perfect to hold a few cookies to enjoy with the tea. He cost $2.

Isn't he just the sweetest thing.

The little basket would be lovely with some fresh flowers from the yard. I love the tulips and the raised design. It was $2.

Isn't it great that the basket has different flowers on each side.

This gorgeous lattice bread basket will be perfect to go with all my new white dishes and for only $4.

The raised flowers on this large bowl match one set of plates that I found on a previous shopping trip. A great piece for $3.

I was thrilled with all these latest finds and hope you enjoyed seeing them. Some of you have also found some wonderful furniture and linens at your Goodwill. I did go through the linen section these trips and although I didn't find anything that fit my color scheme, there were many lovely things. I'm sure that section will become a favorite also. If you havn't been to your Goodwill in a while, give it a try, you just might find some great treasures too.

Thanks for stopping by, I always love it when you come to visit. Hugs, Marty

I have to tell you that I bought it at Marshalls for $3 and it's vinyl.. can you believe that... It's perfect for the front porch table and I use it all the time.. it looks like real lace... even in person! Just thought you might like to know.. inquiring minds and all that... LOL... blessings. 27. Goodwill Hunting pays off! Marty, all of your finds are wonderful. I have one of those lattice bread baskets. Mine was a gift from my son and his wife. It was from Williams Sonoma and pricey if I remember correctly. Yours looks just the same as mine except mine is green. There was a little card that came with it that said you can warm it up in the oven to keep the rolls warm at the table. I use it all the time. I'd say $4 was quite the bargain

  30. Great finds. I love thrift stores. The Goodwill here in the city I work in doesn't have much good stuff & they charge too high of prices. But I occasionally find stuff. When I lived down in San Diego County my favorite thrift store was AMVETS. They had deals & great stuff!!! I miss that store.

  31. What amazingly CUTE finds! I'm slightly jealous now! lol You know, until I started blogging, I'd never set foot in a Goodwill store. And yes, it is really crazy some of the little treasures you can find while out thrifting, isn't it?!

  32. Thrift store shopping is my very favorite activity. Even if I don't find a thing, the searching is a treat.

You did very well with your finds. I always want to add, "Enjoy them in good health." My grandmother always said that. It seems so fitting when viewing purchases on blogs.

Well I'm still trying to figure out how to list other peoples' blogs! I'll have time now that our horse clinic got canceled today. You have a real knack for spying so many neat things! I would shop at GW too if we had these great finds! I think it's fine if your candle is crooked....it really makes for an interesting photo. I cannot wait to see your Easter table decorated with your new purchases!

  41. Oh Marty, no need for apologies at all. I just didn't know if the message was for me or Silvia and I didn't want to presume you were speaking to me! LOL! I don't have the picture thing down.....it's kind of out of control with the sizes and spacing....I don't even know how to label each on yet! LOL! That's why it's always a general posting of all the photos! You deserve the best award! Luanne
